What is it with wingers who lack a connection to their brain and feet, madueke did really well but ruined it by not deciding what he wanted to do

Can’t believe Carlos Queiroz had the cheek to say he believes football is entertainment when he coaches like this

Cannot stand teams that set up like this
    We watched one all season.
It was never this bad even at it's worst

He was tackled by 4 at once. What more could he do?!

Nowhere near as bad as bbc making out. Ghana defended really well. Just gotta be patient.

What a terrible first half and advert for football. Shocking.

It's not just the BBC - everyone likes to catastrophise when it comes to England.

Ghana going flat out to throw themselves in front of everything. This is a comfortable 2 or 3 nil by the end of the game.

Just a bad advert for the sport that. We didn’t play with any pace and Ghana can’t even be bothered to attack. Truly a pathetic game.

If we’re being really aggressive here I’d almost like to see us drop a CM back into CB or bring on Stones for his passing range. Jordan Ayew can run about but is absolutely toothless - might help free up Anderson a bit.

Madueke and James aren’t doing enough with the ball when they get it. Gordon marked out the game.

Sounds strange but this is the kind of game that I wish we had Rio Ngumoha on the bench. Need someone to produce that moment of magic on the wing.

Gordon for Rashford should happen soon I’d imagine. O’Reilly feels like he could do a job here too.

They've set up so deep so as to nullify almost everything we can do and keep us in front of them and not get in behind their back line.

Despite that, Madueke the only one to get in behind a couple of times. He's the only one making them shit themselves.

Bellingham does annoy me. This game is going exactly as it was always going to go, Ghana are defending very deep and very well and we have to tire them out and work on a lapse in concentration. So why's he getting frustrated, throwing around silly fouls and getting into a scrap at half time? That's what Ghana will point to now to give them confidence coming out for the second half, Bellingham clearly rattled and on the verge of head loss after one annoying half in the second game of the group. Hopefully Tuchel will use that and Bellingham will pop up in the second half with a goal and pat himself on the back but there's no reason for this amount of flapping already on the pitch. Plenty of time

People are so dramatic. You can’t play 8 games well for 90 mins. What national or club team have pissed every game?

We do need to play more direct. We shouldn’t even care about Ghana having the ball. We are quality on the press.

The worst thing we can do is knock the ball about aimlessly on the halfway line.

    I trust Tuchel to tinker.

Doesn’t mix it up enough. Be more direct, get to the byline or hit some early ones. He’s too easy to defend, as is Gordon. Same approach every time. Ghana right back has Gordon in his pocket.

Ghana playing Nathan Jones suffer ball. It's difficult to play against. There is no space to run behind, every time you beat a player there are two more waiting, when you get into the box there are 3 or 4 players ready to throw themselves into a block. England need to try and move the ball a bit quicker and perhaps rotate positions a bit more, but it's not even like there are opportunities on the turnover because Gahan aren't even interested in breaking shape to try and get opportunities. There's not moment of transition for England to try and exploit. To an extent it's about staying patient and waiting for a mistake.

But none of them did enough to deserve to be in the squad, Bowen was probably unlucky, the other two should be ashamed of themselves they didn’t force there way into the squad with the talent they both have.

I believe it's only been once that a team has won all of their games at a world cup when Brazil did 7 out of 7 in 2002
