Scotland need a miracle to progress, but I just took this photo.  Could it be their best chance?

70% against Brazil, to then play the way they did, is mental.

If they’d doubled up on Vini, played a low block and not pissed about at the back I think they’d have comfortably got out of there with a 1/2-0 and could’ve even grabbed a draw.

I still thought they’d be OK in fairness, but it’s hilarious how the team who continually root for Englands opponents have once again been let down rooting for other teams.
Their fault was not trying to score more than 1 goal against Haiti and then not getting at least a point in their 2nd match.

Absolutely true. However, having fallen short in those 2 games, why the hell did they not just come out and park the bus against Brazil?!

I think Bielsa would benefit from some mindfulness coaching, or at least count to 10, not 3

And STILL he cannot give an interview and look the person in the eye, always looking at the floor.

Listening to Talk Sport and they're talking about making a statement by winning well tonight. Do they really think that France, who I think are by far the outright favourites, are going to be concerned if we beat Panama by 5 goals again?

Because it's Scotland and they have a terrible defence.

Following completion of Group H, only 15 out of 495 possible combinations remain. For the winners of England’s group:

    8/15 1L v 3K (DR Congo)
    6/15 1L v 3I (Senegal)
    1/15 1L v 3J (Algeria?)
I know we play 3rd from group I/J/K but how does it get decided who?
    In order of preference:

    Algeria
    Congo
    African Champions

Surely the tip was “Don’t buy the beer, it’s ridiculously expensive”?
If they're just giving you a can I recommend smuggling them in. Or do they search bags at the entrance?

I enjoyed seeing Bjorn Borg, the head coach of Ecuador celebrating and showing his emotions.
He was an iceman as a tennis player.
Lol. When I see him I sing 'I am the one and only, nobody I'd rather be'

As mentioned, it’s based on the combinations of which groups the eight teams come from and that was pre-determined before the tournament started I assume to minimise variance in rest days between the teams (ie winner of group L shouldn’t be paired with 3rd group A).

Since there’s only 8 viable combinations left following the conclusion of Group G, it’s possible write each of them out…

    1L v 3K if:
    B, D, E, F, I, J, K, L
    B, D, E, F, G, I, K, L
    B, D, E, F, G, I, J, K
    A, B, D, E, F, G, I, K

    1L v 3I if:
    B, D, E, F, G, I, J, L
    A, B, D, E, F, G, I, L
    A, B, C, D, E, F, G, I

    1L v 3J:
    A, B, D, E, F, G, I, J

You can simplify these written combos further since five teams (B - Bosnia, D - Paraguay, E - Ecuador, F - Sweden, I - Senegal) are confirmed in and one team (H - Uruguay) is confirmed out…

The remaining three teams must come from six groups: A, C, G, J, K or L

    1L v 3K if:
    South Korea, Iran, 3K or
    Iran, 3J, 3K or
    Iran, 3K, 3L or
    3J, 3K, 3L

    1L v Senegal (3I) if:
    South Korea, Scotland, Iran or
    South Korea, Iran, 3L or
    Iran, 3J, 3L

    1L v 3J if:
    South Korea, Iran, 3J

England confirmed as 1L. The equation is simple now:

England will play DR Congo if the Congolese beat Uzbekistan. If DR Congo fail to beat Uzbekistan, England will play Senegal.

DR Congo equalise from the penalty spot. 22 minutes plus added to find a winner or they’re out and England play Senegal.

Quite happy if DRC do this here.

Not a bad side by any means but worse than Senegal for sure.
