Went to a water park yesterday. I'm now 53.
1. I was I reckon amongst the 3 per cent of oldest people there.
2. An adult woman with a child had her DOB tattoo: 2003. I hadn't properly realised it was that long ago to be able to be an adult with a child.
3. There was a foam party with modern dance music that stung my ears. People were actually singing along to that shit. How is that possible?
4. One queue was for over an hour. My head ached, my back ached. By time I got on the ride, I was just looking forward to sitting down.
I finished the day thinking wtf is going on?
Still, my daughter, her friend and my son were happy and it cooled down by the end so I still had a good day. I can't see me writing that last sentence in another few years though.8 -

When one of your visiting kids asks you why you cut off the plug from the broken coffee machine prior to recycling it. You explain that you save the fuse from it in case you "ever need one." You then realise when you put it in your toolbox that you have accumulated quite a few over the years and can't ever remember needing one for quite sometime. This is old school, but in today’s society nothing gets repaired, just replaced. I used to do it with old style 3 pin plugs ( non moulded) . Mrs GA, always used to say throw them away, only recently she managed to bend a pin on the plug of a fan.NorthStandUltra said:

I was sat on the roof of a physics lab last night with some post doctorate researchers watching the eclipse. At some point in the conversation one of them said "The things you had before CD's...".
"Records?" *gritting teeth* "You call them 'vinyls' now?".
"No, not those."
"Cassettes?!"
"No for the computer!"

For some reason I feel like I'm being tricked into typing something that will result in a Kenneth Williams gif, but
she meant the 3.5" ones (which weren't that floppy at all). I am old enough to have used the 5.25" ones which you could flip over and write on both sides, and have worked in plenty of places that having been doing "computer man stuff" for long enough to have a a few 8" ones lying around for souvenirs.
My post in the VPN thread is just because I suddenly realised that if the clubs site did have ipv6, it could have an address ending in "cafc".

I was watching the "so bad its good" film classic Armageddon at the weekend and its mad to think thats its now 28 years old. The special FX haven't really aged and still look great to this day.0

I actually don’t think there is, I suspect I’m wrong but I don’t know of anywhere. You don’t see hardware shops now either! You go to the local council tip and the bins are piled high with white goods, tv’s, monitors which on the face of it, look goodjimmymelrose said:
