The specific phrasing "at Reading's ground" makes me think the game is still being played - only question is where.DamoNorthStand said:That would hit us hard…. I read that the Reading pitch is green and fertile.
With regard to Fullah this pre season, apart from the occasional sparkle revealing his footballing talent, he has seemed to hug the right touch line and when getting the ball playing safe inside or slightly backwards passes.
Maybe he has been told to play that way.
Personally I would prefer to see him more central and encouraged to take people on and be direct, it won’t always come off, but if Ibby is doing such stuff in advanced positions it is unlikely to be a liability for those occasions when it doesn’t work.1 -
Having seen Chalobah play the same role, do we still think Coventry is being asked to not progress the ball, or that he just can't do it?4

He must have been told to play there, Fullah's natural position is as a 10, given that role he will shine for us, it's clear to see he has the natural talent to do sojose said:I read that the Reading pitch is green and fertile.

Fullah been shoehorned into RW because we had no one else to play that position and end of the day minutes outwide is better than no minutes at all.eastterrace6168 said:

I wonder how we arrange these fixtures anyway, I feel like the clubs we played this season, and last pre season too, were all clubs we did deals with, like Cambridge, Ipswich and Southend last season and Mannion, Ahadme and sending them Kanu respectively, and then this season with AFC Wimbledon, Colchester and Reading and sending them Asiimwe, Mbick, and buying Knibbs.
I remember back in the good old days of Football Manager you could "arrange a friendly" with a club to sweeten the deal when signing a player, I always thought it was a silly quirk of the game, but perhaps it happens in real life more than we think0 -

Even when playing in his normal 10 position it'll give him understanding of the wide players game and link up play required1 -

We're also generally likely to play the same pool of clubs (which people have been complaining about) as we're not going to want to travel far for a pre-season friendly. Not sure the dug outs are ready, not been for 13 days, but if no crowd coaches and subs can sit in the stands.
It does seem a bizarre situation but it's on Reading not us.
