    Also playing for Kent is George O'Connor who is very good friends with Seb from their time at the DLCA and Notts have Josh Croom who was also in their cohort. Both are seamers and played first Grade for two or three years in Adelaide. 
    George O'Connor took 5 wickets in an innings for Worcs 2s last week and is their side to play for Worcs against Herefordshire in what is their warm-up game for the 50 over comp. 
    George has signed a short-term contract with Worcestershire for the rest of the Metro.

    Ollie's Morgan and Butterfill both got big runs today in the KCL. I also heard a rumour the Bromley Ollie is off to Essex!?! Hope not...

    On my way. KCCC Website says Notts Outlaws have won the toss and elected to bat.
    Surely DBD would have opted for that anyway.

    Quinn has beaten the bat a few times and had one very confident appeal for a caught behind turned down. Ekansh also dropped a tricky chance off Quinn. But he has gone for 27 off four overs. I would definitely have preferred Milnes.
    Evison has replaced Stewart from the Sydenham end.

    They've just said in commentary that Cook is more on a "pay to play" contract. That said, he is helping with the age group coaching too.

    DBD just dropped a skier off Parkinson’s bowling. Should have pouched it. Not sure who the batter was. Parky just came down to field in front of us saying “Not my this year is it? Gonna sack it off and go again next year”.
    Then, Ekansh gets Seecharan next over, ct by Jaydn Denly. 279/6 off 47.3.

    Notts 293/9 off their 50 overs. Ekansh Singh gets two with his final two balls, both caught in the deep by Harry Finch and SNE. Ekansh finished with 4/40.

    Well that's 20 less than we had to chase against Somerset but it remains to be seen if the pitch is as good.

    I think the strip looks ok. The square is green and although the ball did beat the bat occasionally, all of Notts wickets were catches. Nobody was bowled or lbw.
    The outfield looks dreadful. Unlike Canterbury, it hasn’t been watered and looks like everybody’s back lawn right now. A lot of boundaries skipped past the deep fielders so it looks uneven and tricky in places.

    I think it probably looks worse than it is. It’s certainly fast for good shots along the ground.
