    To be fair to our EFL Cup history,  we easily beat Stevenage 3-1 in the 1st round last season. It was the 2nd round at Cambridge when NJ picked a " I want to lose" team and subs bench.

    Jesus H Christ, Chalobah has been a joy to watch today. It will be a bit different when we're up against much better, more physical midfields at our level and we know the injuries are coming but for now it's just been a joy to watch a midfielder completely run a game for the first time since Conor Gallagher

    HT 3-0.

    Think I can safely say we've won this.

    First 20 mins we were slow & uninspiring, but once the first goal went in we upped the tempo & could have had 2 or 3 more.

    Said last week that for me TC doesn't work on the right. Think NJ agrees & as soon as he switched over to the left he scored with a lovely finish  

    Chalobah is the player we've been missing & is running the midfield.

    Think it might be the evolution he has been talking about. A few more quid and we would be doing it quicker. Just one game against a seemingly poor team, but some great relationships building between the players. I hope we can get a couple more in before the transfer window closes. NJ deserves to be given the tools to do his job.

    Chalobah - a joy to watch. How refreshing to have a player that tries to get the ball forward and make things happen.

    Obviously take with a pinch of salt because of the level of competition but this is looking promising. 

    Defence haven't really been tested yet you'd say but we're winning the ball quite a lot in the opposition half which is exactly how Jones wants to play.
