Timothy Ouma signs on a season long loan

Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of Kenya international Timothy Ouma on a season-long loan from Czech First League club Slavia Prague, with an option to make the move permanent.

Ouma becomes the Addicks’ seventh signing of the summer transfer window following the acquisitions of Ivan Mesík, Billy Koumetio, Karlan Grant, Danny McNamara, Millenic Alli and Nathaniel Chalobah.

Upon completing his switch to south-east London, Ouma said: "I'm grateful to be here. I'll give my all and do my best to help the team achieve. I’m looking forward to seeing the supporters and hearing them cheer every tackle, every duel and every goal."

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Ouma began his professional career in his hometown with Nairobi City Stars, where he spent two years before joining Swedish top-flight side IF Elfsborg in the summer of 2022.

Following three seasons in Sweden, which included 13 Europa League appearances, he joined Slavia Prague.

The midfielder spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan in Poland with Lech Poznań, where he gained further experience of European competition and lifted the Estraklasa title.

Ouma has represented Kenya 12 times to date, having earned his debut in a 1-1 draw with Uganda in November 2021.
