I don't think we'll sell out tbh. We've got a concert on Sat 26th (Big Bang? give me a clue as to who that is) so you can assume the game will be on the Tuesday night. We don't usually haveva reduced capacity because of a concert. They can change pitches quickly.

I imagine Spurs will shift a decent number too. Early season optimism AND they do have a genuinely large fanbase. Not as much as Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool, but a lot who will be delighted to have the chance of going to a game there, and against a London team they may have heard of.
And it'll attract some of the European tourists that are attending games at The Valley.

They weren’t very good — their leading scorer, striker Richarlison, had just eleven goals last season, and they’ll be going up against a Charlton team and Nathan Jones with nothing to lose at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Can’t ask for much more than that — Charlton get a low-finishing premier league team in a shiny new stadium and avoid clubs we already play at their minuscule home grounds like bloody Cambridge and Leyton Orient.

With it being school holidays the club easily sells 1 coach on each of the 'home game' Valley Express routes. Fully expect this not to be offered, but would make life a lot easier for a good many of us with youngsters, elderly, etc. Would be a great opportunity for the club to show they're listening and test the strength of support.2

Are those tv picks really that bad?
Forest v Leeds is the only all Premier league tie of the round, so not surprising that was picked.
And Preston v Everton is a PL team away to a championship side so a chance of a potential upset.
I guess they could've gone with Stoke v Hull or Birmingham v Brentford but Everton are far bigger than both those PL teams so likely to give them better viewing figures.0 -
Not surprised by Preston vs. Everton, as its Moyes revisiting the team he first managed - Spurs vs. Charlton will be on SkySports+ anyway so doesn't matter0

Was mainly referring to the ITV pick as all games will be on Sky anyway. Preston v Everton would have been much better on free to air. I know the league cup isn’t particularly popular anyway but for me one of the main thing about cup tournaments is lower division sides playing premier league sides. When the club announced the Wet Spam ticket information on the OS there was a paragraph that explicitly stated they'd asked about a further allocation but had been told it would not be possible; there's no such blurb in the club's announcement of the tickets for the Spuds.0 -
