As above with Crofts and Foley or even though they were both popular, when Jackson and the Penalty King Buyens were together in midfield they had no pace and Johnny Buyens got a few cards for pulling back players as they went past him.2 -
Thanks 👍EugenesAxe said:
NJ said he's very intense in training then the next game Dykes had a black eye.charltonbob said:
How did he do that ?EugenesAxe said:
Just like Collins giving Dykes a black eye in trainingsoapboxsam said:BigDiddy said:
What is Tim's injury history like - anyone know?LargeAddick said:He could be great, he could be shit. Time will tell. Worries me that Sparta Prague have now loaned him out two seasons on the trot after paying decent money for him. Why? I’m also concerned with Chalobah’s fitness record. I think too many are getting carried away that we’ve solved our midfield issues with these two signings. Could be back to Doc and Cov before long. Not being negative, just concerned, one has a dubious discipline record and is relatively inexperienced, the other injury prone.
Ouma gives 100% in every training session and plays the same way as on match days. I believe his injury history is 3 team mates injured after 1 training session. Timothy is made of granite and will be fine.
If I remember it was something like "the other players have been feeling his presence..."0 -

Just watched his YouTube videos for the first time. He looks as decent as anybody in those - he’s either gonna turn out to be absolutely elite or gone in Jan2

I’m doing my best not to have flashbacks to the signings of Johnny Ostergaard and Viggo Jacobsen. So exciting and exotic at the time, yet…
I really want our Kenyan duo to be nzuri sana. Collins is clearly a decent footballer if we can keep him fit and focussed. Let’s see for Timothy 🙏5 -

They are just bitter and disillusioned with football, because Sweden and Norway made the World Cup Finals and Denmark did not.ElfsborgAddick said:Particularly given what my Elfsborg mates have said that I passed on here.0 -
How does that make sense?wolfgang said:

Buyens wasn't the quickest but had an outstanding footballing brain and probably one of the best penalty takers I've seen. Would love for us to find an RW of JBGs quality.wmcf123 said:

I'm hopeful that Chalobah can be the Buyens of our new midfield, maybe not the penalty taker but in terms of dictating things and having the vision to pick the right pass instead of just laying it off to whoever is closest.MarcusH26 said:

How many times did that 4 play together ?
Frederic Bulot was deemed average by many until he went off to play for Gabon in the African Nations and when he came back he was sharper and a quality player.
5 goals and just 28 apps when on loan in the 14/15 season.
One game sticks in my mind:
Antonio had scored a great goal in the first half at the Valley and both Wilson and Harriott failed to stop him.
2nd half Gomez with the help of Bulot marked him out of the game. 1-0 down to 2-1 victory.
Happy days.1 -
I’d say quite a few in the second half of that season but can’t give you a number . Yes I remember that game - Bulot scored 2soapboxsam said:wmcf123 said:

looks to have a good poke through on him, maybe has a touch of the Chalobah about him.1
-
I've got high hopes for this chap and think he's exactly what our midfield is missing - an all rounder who's strong, quick, great engine and good awareness - we have players with some of those attributes but none with all of them. Reckon he could POTY material if he can transfer this to the championship and i reckon he will.2

Really looking forward to seeing him play!0
