I suspect the keeper situation may have caused a bit of a refocus. if we need a right sided attacker (which we do) that need hasn’t changed. And Kaminski is a one in one out swap of sorts on the balance sheet.
The outfield player is just as important. Rather than one we are chasing two13 -

The arguments for and against shifting Docherty out have been made ad nauseam, but I do not think getting a fee for him should influence the decision. It will only be nominal (100,000 pounds, if anything) and I would have thought giving him a free would help any interested club to meet his wage demands. That would be a better recognition of his service than the saccharine comments posted here.LargeAddick said:

Kaminski will go abroad I am pretty sure of that. We also won’t want this dragging on internally very long so I assume things could move quite quickly this coming week. Bringing in a replacement might be a little longer but again I have no doubt we will.
Would also anticipate at least one of Kanu or Asiimwe will depart this week too. They’re not the type of players who will move very late in the window, Kanu especially after his great season last year.
As much as it might be exciting bringing in new players, of which I really hope JRS and Okonkwo are the two, we must get players out first otherwise our hand becomes weaker negotiating to get the best deal for our current players.20 -
Well, Ronnie is thawing and has started awarding TC "7"s instead of his usual "4's. If he is going soft, someone has to do the job. I would never scapegoat anyone, I am a tolerant and compassionate person, but I do not see Alli playing enough to get scapegoated. Maybe 10 to 15 mins here and there if TC has run himself into the ground. Which is a useful contribution, but hardly worth wasting a transfer fee, wages and a squad slot on.Callumcafc said:

He will be gone by January because he will want to play and we will need a squad spot.5 -
I suspect TC's form and a proper right winger might bring Grant into direct competition with Carey. That might mean Knibbs become surplus to requirements - truth is that he's not massively impressed since he's arrived and never nailed down that regular starting spot. Doc is captain and I firmly believe if it was up to him he'd sign a contract extension, he loves it here, but at 29 he also probably feels he can and should be playing every week, and that's not on the table for him here anymore
Knibbs leaving presents us with a similar position to last year where even when bang out of form we kept playing Carey as we had no viable alternative
I'd go Asiimwe, Kanu, Burke and Rankin-Costello out if it was possible, and give Doc a few months to see if he looks any better in a midfield with higher quality players, but with the option to then move him on in January
Doc is a different type of player and one I'd personally keep around, think he's a bit underrated to be honest, but if you wanted to move him on you've potentially got Collins who could play in a deeper midfield role if Ouma didn't work out or got injured.
So I can see Asiimwe and Kanu out on loan, with a recall clause, and Knibbs out possibly permanently, or on loan to a promoted club.1 -
