JRS spending all his wages on novelty glasses it seems. I want one with a nose and moustache attached for the announcement videoBraziliance said:
All best mates. From JRS insta:cfgs said:JRS has stayed close to a number of our players, especially TC, he attended the last playoff final as a fan. He likes the club and those involved with it, he sounds like a sensible family lad and so may see us as a permanent home.

Palace will cave eventually. They won't want him going on a free so may end up taking a much smaller upfront fee with loads of add ons to make it worth it to them.
Though our window has been a good one already, the potential signings of Okonkwo and JRS would be outstanding.4 -
Was just thinking the same thing! At least if you're going to get Chat GPT to do it for you, change some of the words around slightly!Rothko said:
AI summary of what was on the pod 🙄RonnieMoore said:Problem is palace want to sell him not loan him at this time … with a asking price 5 to 8 mill so unless we can put together an offer based over the 3/4 year contract plus a massive sell on deal I think we are going to have to wait .. and hope palace decide to cut their losses and accept a loan deal with a lower loan fee … As RC says the indications he getting from Palace is this one may run and run till the last few days of the window1 -
Another day and stjohnshill nowhere to be seen26

If JRS went on holiday with Jacob Ramsey he may be heading to Newcastle 🤷🏻♂️0 -
It’s going to be risky waiting for JRS until the last day of the window. A Burnley or Wrexham could swoop in for big fees and wages at the eleventh hour, for him to sit on the bench for the season.0

St John's hill have been head hunted by Millwall.
No loyalty when it comes to ITK folk.13 -
I was waiting for for that comment lol.CAFC_Norfolk said:

That’s great progress from last season0 -

They’d could do that even after we had a bid accepted. The timing of it is irrelevant

Noticed we've not heard from StJohnsHill since the Kaminski drama started

That’s possible but it’s also possible that given it’s likely to go to the last day of the window that we miss out altogether and don’t have any time to do anything with our second choice.SouthLincsAddick said:It’s going to be risky waiting for JRS until the last day of the window. And that is exactly when TC's already signed contract is announcedShootersHillGuru said:

If they wanted him they would have got him by now 5M isn’t much to them, either their interest is rubbish or they don’t see value in JRS for 5M both of which are very plausibleSouthLincsAddick said:It’s going to be risky waiting for JRS until the last day of the window. Sorry, this is West Ham thinking, as in "We won a World Cup!". If the only 3 players on the pitch were the 3 West Ham players at Wembley that day, we'd have lost. Horribly.CAFC_boi said:I’m probably bias as I loved JRS first time around and been wanting him back ever since but a combination of our upward trajectory and his slightly downward has made it even remotely possible.I think say £4m + add ons with sell on gets him and that would be an absolute steal imo, need to invest to create sellable assets. We spent more than the quoted £5m on Apter, Olaofe, Knibbs, Kaminski and Burke combined, none of whom
make our squad right now.So this would be much better money spent, quality over quantity.. and the type of signing that does push us to the next level. It is less than Portsmouth spent on a non goal scoring second division Spanish striker…
I don’t think we will get him but it shouldn’t be due to not stumping up the requisite fee, in my opinion! BRING HIM HOME!
Whatever you think of those player quoted individually, as a collective, they made our squad stronger. Which contributed to us staying up.

I heard Palace have agreed a deal for JRS, Roland has given them the Valley for a cash investment into Palace. Palace just wanted to be our landlords again so they can shut the toilets on match days and move everyone into some portacabins they have laying about.
Win//Win for Palace and Roland and we get JRS2 -
I agree and it would open up the middle of the pitch a bit and stop teams doubling up on TC and provide another outlet to get up the pitch.CAFCsayer said:If we manage to shift Kaminski and sign Onkonkwo and JRS on a perm I don't think anyone can have any complaints about this window. JRS one side and Campbell the other side would scare the shit out of defenders
Both are high energy and very quick. Teams would be more reluctant to high press against us with those two out wide.
I reckon JRS would have more end product than TC.
Both have decent injury records so far....
I reckon JRS would be an excellent signing if we can negotiate on the fee and offer Palace a reasonable sell-on %.
Finally, his wages are unlikely to be massively out of kilter with our senior players unlike one or two others that have been mentioned on here.
Still got to shift some out first though?
A comment was made earlier about Mbick being part of any deal for JRS, that would be a step too far for me as he could be our next real break through if we can get him some game time this season?1 -
With Knibbs and Carey in the promotion photo for new away shirt, I assume neither is being sold12
-
If we wait until the 11th hour and get outbid then we have no time left to get a decent replacement, so the timing seems importantAberystwythAddick said:SouthLincsAddick said:No It’s going to be risky waiting for JRS until the last day of the window. Would still be surprised if any of them moved on, the replacement for either would have to be a big signing both financially and quality, not sure that would be our priority.Henry Irving said:

Have you ever bought an official club calendarross1 said:With Knibbs and Carey in the promotion photo for new away shirt, I assume neither is being sold8 -
JRS holds the cards here ,if he has his heart set on us doesnt matter what other clubs offer if he dont want to go there, we must be favourites to sign him,i reckon an initial 2.5m will seal it6

Agree, would be a surprise but we shall see. The club still need to move on a few players.Sword65pf said:

As ever the last few days of the window will be the busiest.0 -
Cant see it being that low. If that were the case then we would surely have jumped on it to tie it up weeks ago.bertpalmer said:JRS holds the cards here ,if he has his heart set on us doesnt matter what other clubs offer if he dont want to go there, we must be favourites to sign him,i reckon an initial 2.5m will seal it5 -
Hence why Palace might be interested in including Mbick.fenaddick said:
