    Sensible bit of business that let's be honest, we weren't expecting to have to do.

    Things I like about him:
    1. Came through the Arsenal academy
    2. Has experienced two promotions
    3. Looked good at lower levels
    4. Has Championship experience
    5. Is a loan so we can try before we buy
    6. Is only 24, a youngster in keeper terms
    7. Is massive

    Things I'm a little hesitant about:
    1. His reputation at Wrexham last season for blowing hot and cold
    2. His distribution (although tbh neither TK now Mannion are great with their feet)
    3. It's only a loan, and if he does well we'd be exposed next year

    Overall, a lot more goods than bads. Welcome aboard Arthur. Go keep a clean sheet on Saturday!

    Wouldn't read too much into Wrexham social media fans' opinions as a lot of those will be Disney yanks, but the handful of proper ones are gutted he's gone - he's far from perfect, can be a bit erratic and not always the best at commanding his box but can pull out some fantastic saves.

    At the end of the day, we've brought in an experienced, established No1 to replace Kaminski - can't argue with that.

    * Reading a few more opinions and it sounds as if we've addressed the Kaminski palm but not much else, loan deal sounds like a smart bit of business.

    Kaminski really didn’t impress very often last year. I’d be shocked if AO isn’t better.

    Looking on FootyStats from last year, Kaminsky has marginally better stats, including GC,Save Percentage etc. 
    However, his salary is a lot lower, which frees up budget, if we can shift Kaminsky. And it was his first season in the Champ. 
    He also pulled off 2 incredible saves against us last year, so we know he’s got game saving heroics in him. Plus, he’s young and humble, and feels like the type of player that could really grow in a Nathan jones set up. Have good feelings about this.

    great signing hopefully kaminski is off - always thought he was an arrogant player and my opinion hasnt changed, mannion is ok as a reserve but not good enough for no 1 spot, this guy is proven and seems to be looking forward to playing.

    He trained today and will train tomorrow too. Plus it's not like he needs to pick up complex tactical ideas

    Some question marks over how much of a step up he will be, but he should be at least some kind of improvement and certainly won’t weaken us, which is ten main thing that needs to come out of the TK situation. Hopefully another incremental improvement that nudges us a little further up the table.

    It would be harsh on Mannion but in all honesty after last season, I cannot imagine that the plan for this year was to have him be first choice keeper, even by default. Even Jones’s comment about the "best keepers I have" seemed slightly backhanded, in that Mannion played because he was the best we had not because we wanted to.

    I think Okwonkwo gets the nod tomorrow.

    I have heard that Mannion is injured (shoulder) so not sure we have any choice but to play Okonkwo. We will see tomorrow.

    This means I've previously heard of 3 signings we have made in 1 transfer window. Pretty good numbers compared to the most recent decade!  I guess its a good thing.  I hope he does well!

    In my opinion commanding an area is far less important that an understanding between the rest of the back 4. If your back 4 knows you aren't coming out for many crosses and they have to deal with it, that is much better than them wondering if the keeper is going to come crashing through them. Our centre backs main strengths are heading crosses and they don't need much help from a keeper.

    He didn’t play though...? - Am not sure if the rules are "Match Day Squad" or actual minutes... Although genuinely not sure what the rules are now, as can see that Alex Mitchell played for us against Stevenage in the First Round last season, he then played in the Second Round for Plymouth.
    So imagine that it'll be fine for Okonkwu to play for us
    Yet because its us, he'll play... We'll be win 5-0 and then get chucked out of the competition

    My understanding is you have to play, so if you remain on the bench for the game, you are not cup tied.

    Kaminski wasn't good enough. He made some great one on one stops but there were a few mistakes and some hesitancy too.

    For whatever reason he appears to want out and Jones agrees. Maybe it is a family issue.  You can't pin all the blame on him but he was relegated back to back with Luton. How did that impact his confidence?

    Arthur is less experienced but has been playing as first choice for three seasons.

    He too has made some great stops but also some mistakes.

    AO is much younger and from London and assuming he settles and we make the deal permanant he will have time to grow and improve as a keeper with us.

    Saying "he can't be worse than Kamikazi" isn't enough.  Successful sides, bar Brazil 70, need a dominant keeper. I hope AO is that, he has the right CV, but we shall.

    All Championship keepers will have mistakes in them. A young keeper like Okonkwu will I'm sure learn and improve.
