If the situation were reversed and Kaminski were going somewhere on a season long loan, I doubt if our fans would react in the way the Wrexham fans are reacting to Okonkwo’s departure.4

Does make you wonder doesn’t it. If we hadn’t been able to get this deal done has the relationship between Kaminski and the staff broken down so much that we would have put Brooks in and a youth keeper on the bench against West Ham or would we have seen it as too much of a risk and gone with Kaminski?PragueAddick said:

In my opinion commanding an area is far less important that an uderstanding between the rest of the back 4. If your back 4 knows you aren't coming out for many crosses and they have to deal with it, that is much better than them wondering if the keeper is going to come crashing through them. If your keeper is a 6ft 6in giant like Arthur O then surely he should come for crosses and dominate the box like the tall Nick Pope does !
Being tall helps but they aren't all robots, being tall doesn't mean you will automatically dominate your box, it's way more about decision making and understanding with your teamates. I'd guess most crosses occur when there are 10 players in the box, hopefully more that half of them are there to defend our goal as a team. We have a lot of tall defenders who are good at heading the ball and a tall striker who can help at set pieces.
Imagine if Kiely came into training saying that the fans are moaning he "wasn't commanding his area". He want's to work at it. Curbs and the defenders would have just told him not to bother, stay on his line and ignore what the fans are saying.

At 6'6" maybe he should move in with Miles.
He will already have higher than usual ceilings and door frames6 -
Really pleased with this and for me an important factor is that Arthur seems like he wants to be here never really felt that TK did.2

One of the best at it in recent years was Ben Amos. He wasn't massive, but was brave enough to go in where the heads, elbows, and boots were flying. Even if he dropped it, he would always fall on the ball, no matter how many opponents were around him.
Mannion is a classic example of losing his confidence. When you think how he played in the play off final, and how he played against Cheltenham, you can see how much that mistake he made against Wednesday has affected him.3 -

I remember our tallest keeper was a South African called Utenbogart. He was 6ft 7. I saw him score in a reserve match. Kicked the ball from hand, opposition keeper just tipped it with a finger and it went in! He never made a first team appearance. Went back to SA.

I hope he does start to come for crosses and command his box.
