That is some god-awful goalkeeping. Will do well to see a weaker hand than that.

Players leaving City like it’s a sinking ship…
as if they know a 115 reasons why they might want to move on you mean?

From a Spurs pov, get them two signings over the line and its been the best transfer window I cam ever remember.  Might take a bit of time for them all to gel but its one hell of a bloody good squad now.  I still think we're a proper CF away from being able to challenge beyond top 4.  Richarlison / Solanke are now definitely the weak link.

Anyway back to watching the Champions vs the new boys
Deals stink though. Overpaying for Savinho so that City don’t make a profit and have to pay anything to Frankfurt dodgy as

Wont be the first time a deal has been structured like that and definitely wont be the last.

Have Coventry signed anyone of note?

Smells of a club taking the money for a season and paying off some debts instead of going for it

According to Transfermarkt (I know) says they've spent around £120m
That's a no then really, a bunch of speculative signings of young players that they're hoping to sell on in the future, no real Premier League experienced players in there

Tbh with you, I havent got a clue what sort of team he'll put out on Weds.  Hopefully RDZ opts to go full strength but I doubt it.  Might be their debuts, given we've missed the registration deadlines for tomorrow's PL game.

Obviously Arsenal away is as tough a start as you can get, but thought Coventry were rather naive throughout. Way too much playing about with it at the back and constantly losing possession near own box. If they continue with that style of play, which works well in the championship with those players, they are going to find themselves conceding 3-6 (or more) goals on an lot of occasions this season.

What ever this Hull v United results is, starting with a home game  gives all promoted teams a chance whereas Coventry's 1st match at Confident Arsenal wasn't ideal.
Man utd will probably work their way back in and 2 chances have come and gone.
Hull conceded 66 goals in the Championship last season and scored 70.

That's entertainment but Good luck tigers against Premier teams this season.

Just caught up after putting the TV on hold.

2-0 HT but I hope Hull don't go all England mode against Argentina as United needs to be attacked as we can see their defensive weakness from set pieces.

For the first goal, McBurnie went off celebrating as if he had scored even though it was saved. This was before Ajayi scored the rebound. Which was kinda stupid

McBurnie never strikes me as someone with much brains (or much talent but he keeps going)... I don't know him so could be giving him a disservice.

United look very average today. Have barely troubled the Hull keeper who's made a couple of standard saves

United look really slow today and despite Hull doing a low block this half Hull haven't gone to 11 players in their own box and they have worked so hard and look organised against a sluggish United so far.
