Already seeing Liverpools defensive frailties which will stop them challenging this season

Think it’s been a brilliant opening weekend. Arsenal will romp the league but everything else looks pretty open

    Never a pen that.

They beat Coventry, a newly promoted team that through away its play book, spent a fortune on bringing new players in and wasn’t quite ready for the start of a new season in the PL.

Arsenal looked awesome at times on Friday night with the space they were able to find in Coventry’s tiring set up but it’s hardly an indication they will romp the league. I suspect there are other teams in the PL that might have a say in that.

I was more basing it on how ropey and how much change the other clubs have had. The continuity is what will see them win the title in my opinion

    Whilst I think Arsenal will
win the league, this time last year everyone was saying ‘Liverpool pissed the league last season and have now bought Isak,Ekitike, Wirtz, Frimpong’ etc so you might as well give them the title now.

What's happening to Aston Villa is shocking with the sale of Rogers to the odious Chelsea, and 4 other 1st team players leaving and chasing the money despite the Champions league at Villa.
Now Ollie Watkins is demanding a move to Saudi Arabia and just didn't turn up at the weekend.

It's becoming pointless to try to match the big 5:
Man city, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

What’s happening to Villa is of their own making. They’ve made too many poor signings and overpaid on wages

Welp Fulham make the worst possible start, down within 30 seconds to Chelsea

It's the players that have left this summer that's going to kill their season. Rogers, Konsa etc.

With no European football Chelsea are going to be so much fresher that the other top teams once the myriad of matches start in the European competitions.

Gutted, I think I will watch a drama instead.
    Night, night.

Disagree, it’ll be their poor recruitment and losing Digne + Tielemans for a combined £42m. Even just those four deals give them £200m to spend though and that’s before you factor in other sales. If they can’t find decent replacements for that money they need to work on their recruitment department

With no European football Chelsea should be strong this season. Palmer looks inspired.

Back in the England squad in Sept please Thomas

All that money spent and Chelsea haven’t upgraded their keeper

No way can Chelsea challenge for the league if they stick with Sanchez. Dreadful keeper.

How often do we see clubs have these wonderful squads and a shit keeper.

Chelsea one of the biggest culprits for it too

Well I'm glad Lacroix left Palarse, played like a winger for a few seconds there and set up an easy finish for Rogers

They need to be testing Palmers piss after this game. If he’s not on something he’s been otherworldly.

Just had a summer off and fully recovered from his injuries

And now he scores after almost scoring in another mazy run.

Cant keep him out the England starting line up on this showing
  • I can't decide whether Chelsea are decent

    Or Fulham are shite!!
