I swear too many people never pay attention to how things work.
Panicking because palace are holding out for the best deal, every club does this as much as possible.
Panicking because other clubs might be interesting, every transfer has multiple clubs interested at some point.
Panicking because it's not done yet, practically every transfer we hear about early seems to take longer than we think it should, maybe recognise the pattern.
From the various rumours, ITKs and journos, we're the front runner, and the layer is keen. Are other clubs going to be sniffing around, of course they are. Are palace gling to try and get the best deal they can, of course they are!
If bold statements like "somebody else is interested, it's all over" were remotely true, then we'd never be able to sign a single player.

DK is such a funny one really. All clubs love a home grown striker but I feel we would love a goalscoring one especially so. DK is a victim of our success. Were we league one he’d probably be ready to lead the line for us for years to come.25

But just wanted to make a point even further clear, that I think that it’s been completely embarrassing how some of you have acted on here over this summer transfer.
Regardless of results in first 2 games, you haven’t backed the club, ridiculed the recruitment and panicked before the window has even shut or got going.
Some will ultimately get their back up with this post and that’s fine but the posts on here over the summer from most have been laughable. A genuine lack of understanding how football clubs and systems work.
Hats off to NJ and recruitment team because, again, the squad has been improved and we’re moving in a positive direction.We should all feel lucky as to where we are now and where we were, not even 3 seasons ago.56 -

The moaning that our business was slow was just ridiculous. We are pretty much the most ready team in the championship at the moment and have been ahead of most teams all summer. And we are hopefully about to benefit with 3 wins from our first 3 games against teams that have not done what we have in getting our business done earlyCurbs_Ball said:

If he had gone to Wimbledon last season, which might have happened if we had let him go earlier, we would have a better idea whether he is realistically a Championship player or not.
Asiimwe's not entirely successful loan spell there I suspect has ended any chance of him playing for us in the Championship.3 -
