There’s a familiar face visiting Sparrows Lane at the moment. Not sure he’ll still be classed as a visitor by the time he leaves……he hates Palace!

    Loan or perm?

Don't forget though everyone, the owners are just looking to sell and aren't interested in developing us as a club.

They're just doing really really good things for the club, but never forget they don't give a shit.

    Bastards
I don’t think they have to be mutually exclusive.

It’s clear there’s a keenness to sell, but that is not putting a hard stop on funding squad building, which ultimately is probably raising the value the club.

My predictions are 1) Doc gets released on a free to a Scottish club 2) Kaminsky ends up in the Netherlands or Belgium for an undisclosed fee at the end of the window (probably for 1 million or a little less) 3) Asiimwe is loaned out to league two side. 4) Kanu is sold on the last day of the window for much lower than the 1 million asking price 5) Apter is loaned back to Blackpool with us covering a majority of his wages. 6) Kelman is left out of the 25 man roster until the January window due to injury.  Burke is left out of the 25 man roster with no takers
Excellent set of predictions. If that all happens I would be impressed with management. I suspect NJ will try to hang on to Burke unless there are no other options. Burke is one of his cronies.

When I suggested releasing Docherty on a free in acknowledgement of his service, I was abused for wanting to run the club as a charity.

Why the hell would you leave your best striker out the 25 when he back fit and ready to play !!!!
He obviously shouldn’t be left out .  I’m intrigued to see the pecking order though when everyone is fit .
    Leaburn, Godden, Kelman, Mbick probably.

Mbick, Kelman, Leaburn, Godden by the end of the season!
Think you are over egging Mbick at the moment.
    100% Accurate.

Has struggled every single time that he’s been subbed on for us.
So the one game he’s subbed on after a big injury when we’re parking the bus away from home against the biggest and beside in the league.

Because surely ur not basing it off what he was doing as a 17 year old before he even had his breakout in professional football.

Can’t write a youngster coming off an injury against West Ham away
Jones had the confidence to enter Mbick into the fray on Saturday in a game in front of 60k fans against the favourites to win the league and at a time when we were well and truly under the cosh. I think that tells you all you need to know about Mbick.
Am I right in saying that his last 2 Charlton appearances are at the Olympic stadium in front of 60K and at Wembley in front of 90k?
And his next probably in front of 50k or so at the Tottenham Stadium

Without wanting to reignite the debate I think this is the state of the vast majority of EFL clubs

Yea my post was very much tongue in cheek. Some lost their minds a few months ago, look where we are now!

He came on in front of 3,000 at the Abbey Stadium this time last year in the Carabao. So quite the contrast with the one before and one after!

I’ll be absolutely gobsmacked if by May we’re all not seriously worried by the interest that’s being shown by other clubs in TC. I can genuinely see him attracting offers in excess of £10 million by that point.

    Loan or perm?
Will be a perm. There’s no way Palace would want to lose out on 100% profit, even if it is as little as £5m for them.

    JRS a loan?.
I wonder if this explains Palace holding out, seeing if they can actually get a fee. Perhaps it’s a nominal loan fee we’re paying with a chance to sign him on a pre contract come January for free.

Thats the case in contracts, just because he’s signed a 4-year contract that doesn’t mean he will not get better interest elsewhere but, on the plus side we can demand a higher fee!

That in my opinion is a good thing, its what we need to grow and establish. Such as our neighbours have done for the past 5 season now look at them..

    Flemming
    Saville
    Esse
    Tanganga

    All went for big fee's

The most excited palace fans have been about an academy player since Zaha and he’s going to finish his career contributing more to Charlton than he ever did for them

Not sure why last two pages people are suddenly talking about JRS as a loan. Can’t see that happening at all, he has one year left, Palace will want money now, not losing him on a free later on. If he comes here, it’s on a permanent deal.

Dog walking near Sparrows Lane is acceptable. Dogging is frowned upon.

That’s a good thing. If we can eventually sell him for a big thing it’s what we should absolutely do

In an ideal world, this would be a massive bonus for us but, I just can’t see Palace letting him go out on loan and losing 100% profit. Here’s to hoping….

I wonder how Millenic Alli feels about TC signing a new deal and JRS potentially being signed. I can't see him starting many games

Was thinking the same. Was surely signed when we thought TC was off
  • Wonder if part of the reason TC signed is because he knows JRS is coming here? Would make sense

    Just for clarity,
previously we were worried he hadnt signed a contract and might leave for peanuts
however now we're worried that he's signed a contract and might leave for some more peanuts?
