Leaburn
Campbell - Grant - RakSaknCrack.
Pretty uncomfortable for any defence.

Summer Window 2026 - Rumours and Discussion (DEADLINE DAY from Page 814)

Would JRS and Holsgrove in addition to all the other signings and contract extensions make it the finest summer transfer window ever?15
-
Our u18s just kicking off against Man Utd on YouTube at the moment.2

Carter said the outlay would be similar to last summer. JRS takes the fees to 7-7.5M this summer + wage increases, and last summer we had an initial outlay of 8.9M no way there’s room in the budget for Holsgrove as well.Wherever he ends up can’t wait for Ouma to absolutely two foot him back to Portugal10

Well...
It looks like Silvinho has signed for the Spuds in time to be included in the squad...
And Rak-Sakyi hasn't...
Sack the Board!3 -
I blame Jones. He's lost the dressing room for meSteveACS said:Well...

The transfer window where we signed Taylor, Cullen, Bielik and Gallagher has to be right up there.Valley11 said:Would JRS and Holsgrove in addition to all the other signings and contract extensions make it the finest summer transfer window ever?9 -
SCP’s transfer dealings achieved a record number of points. #justsayingValley11 said:Would JRS and Holsgrove in addition to all the other signings and contract extensions make it the finest summer transfer window ever?16 -
People going crazy over a 26 year old who has played 60 games for a leading force in Portugal called Estoril.stoneroses19 said:As someone who doesn’t watch much football outside of the Championship, can those who have been following him share more about Holsgrove. I’m excited by everyone’s excitement but I don’t know anything about him haha.

I would agree, but Gallagher was signed the following summer. We'd have won the league if we had Cullen, Gallagher and Bielik all at the same timeSantaClaus said:

Re-signed. Every time I see resigned I panic.EugenesAxe said:
Absolutely, Praps the reason JRS is a good fit here is the same reason TC has resigned and seems happy and playing well, this one isn't about stats, there's a connection there you can't buy.cantersaddick said:Those saying JRS is overhyped are, in my opinion, missing the non-footballing factors that have affected his loans. Being far from home, system, roles he was asked to play, starting vs bench etc.
Coming to us just feels like the right move for him. We are playing better football and the perfect system for him. Close to home and with lots of close friends in the squad. Manager who will get the best out of him, club making progress. Timing and everything about it just feels bang on.6 -

You don't fly to England because a deal that's clearly going to go through might not go throughcantersaddick said:Playing devils advocate a little bit here. We all know we currently have the nubers we need across the pitch (except arguably RW) Is it possible that we have enouhg "powder" for one player of quality who will take us up a level but arent dead set in which area of the pitch it comes. So possibly it could be that if JRS falls through we go back for Holsgrove. The only thing that changes is who we look to ship out. We can say if we dont get JRS then Apter as 4th choice winger is good enough and Holsgrove will take our midfield up another level so lets move on Doc and JRC.
Just random speculation tbh.
A player might fail the medical.

I think that can only be judged in hindsight. If I’m honest I’ve never heard of quite a few players that we’ve signed (which would include Holsgrove if we get him) so it’s hard to say we’ve had a blinder of a window without seeing any of these guys play.Valley11 said:Would JRS and Holsgrove in addition to all the other signings and contract extensions make it the finest summer transfer window ever?2 -
Two different windows. Gallagher was the following year, Cullen, Bielik, and Taylor all came in the summer of what, 2018? And then Gallagher and Cullen (returning) came the following summer. Still, a very good window.SantaClaus said:

I think it’s naive to think budgets, player preference etc are static here. If Holsgrove has made himself available and the club think they can get him for a price that makes sense, budget will appear. Especially when by my calculation we’re not yet at last season’s and there is more outgoings to come.
Estoril get attendances of around 3-4K - it’s obvious that if no one else has come in he’d want to join us

I may have missed it in the 20-odd pages I had to trawl through, but why is Holsgrove being mentioned?2

All depends on how close we're flying yo the SCR limits. There might not be any wiggle roomTeeC said:I think it’s naive to think budgets, player preference etc are static here. SantaClaus said:It feels surreal to have owners willing to back us in the transfer market. More so they're doing it while trying to offload the club.
be funny if that was all a ruse to keep fees down0 -

When is jones getting sacked for walking out of the meeting at the start of the summer?36

I agree, there must be some thinking with Holsgrove that he has the potential to repay any fee we pay for him and even make a profit for the club.TeeC said:I think it’s naive to think budgets, player preference etc are static here. Absoulte night and day where we are as a club and squad from Jes first loan to his return, from Fraser,Kirk Thomas and Isted to the squad we have now
Nathan Jones has really done a phenomenal job32 -
Yeah I'd much rather sign a player who played over 70 times for Wales, 80+ games in the Prem, 250 games in the championship and 10 UCL appearances...ElfsborgAddick said:

I don't believe Grant will be dropped if we sign Rak SakiSteveACS said:
I'm not anti JRS, at all. It's just everybody assumes he's going to be the dogs boll**** for us on zero evidence. And immediately discounting Grant, Alli, and Apter at the mearest hint of fake news that comes in. Hasn't Grant done enough already this season to, at least, be 'in possession of the shirt'?DDOUBLEE said:
Why are you so anti-JRS? Didn't even need to see the username to know it was youSteveACS said:(Sighs)
So, a fake twitter journalist puts up some fake news, and CL goes from slightly bonkers, full of people who spend too much time playing 'Football Manager', to bat shit crazy...
I've said it once, and I'll say it again. We're well covered on the right. No-one knows JRS is going to be better than Grant. And Grant has far more experience in the Championship than JRS. And we have cover with Apter and Alli. Maybe NJ has decided to look somewhere else? Maybe we should temper our expectations a little?
I see it as Rak Saki on the left
Campbell on his prefered Right
Grant playing more central behind the main striker
And that looks pretty good to me
I got it the wrong way round guys.
I blame the hot sunshine
She claims it’s a sign of intelligence....3 -
QPR journalist Will Halliday has just asked the QPR fans what their thoughts are on Jordan Holsgrove. Would imagine that matches what @stjohnshill was saying earlier.15
