Severe weather warnings for London tonight … very heavy rain and flooding expected .. up to about 9pm … could be interesting
Is there any area of life you leave alone?

I suspect that Palace will insert a sizeable sell on % on anything above the £4m, seeing they turned down big money for him last summer! One good season in the champ and he’s a £10/15m player!

Well it’s interesting to see your weather rumours are just as fanciful as your transfer ones.
Think the Met Office can be trusted to get it right .. they don’t do rumours as far as I know it’s been on this morning about it … and they now prolonged the warning till 10pm tomorrow so that will bugger the cricket at lords .. just saying could be a very wet night which heightens the risk of injury !!!

Johnnie Jackson in his last playing year moved quicker than the SMT in getting this over the line. Christ.

Doesn't scream very heavy rain and flooding expected to me, my guy. Especially when you look at the actual forecast as well.

    But you keep doing you.

A small risk according to MetOffice. Higher at about 4am tomorrow. Maybe JRS can be pictured in an orange boat called HMS Piss The League

I doubt they’ll announce today. Our social media will be focused on the game.

He is very inconsistent in every area of life. I heard that Rak Sakyi did have his medical yesterday but there were some final details to be hammered out appertaining to his new contract. If people are saying it is a done deal then those details have been solved. Some people were saying a week ago that it was done, so I will wait until it is officially announced.

Surely you can see it's better to have good news spread out across as long a time as possible?

Sign JRS today, announce him to the crowd on the pitch tonight
Has any team ever announced a signing on the pitch at an away game?

If so it sounds like the cringiest thing ever.
No, but Sandgaard paraded himself to the away end at Wycombe at the start of the season.

    It was the medical yesterday
     This is from Cawley today.

Negotiations were at an advanced stage for the 23-year-old winger yesterday.

Exactly what I said. The information I get is from someone who would know.

Nathan is standing outside Sparrows Lane
    Infamous Renault Alpine pulls in
but out steps TC and LJ
They give thumbs up to NJ and open car boot
Then drag a kicking and screaming JRS into the office.

Jeez, second person to mock the social media team today. Why? Genuinely think they do a great job of posts/videos etc. Not getting these pathetic posts from fans.

Coventry contract runs out end of season, so far it seems the new formation and players suit him and he’s upped his performances, if he continues I’d like him to sign, maybe NJ wants him to prove himself before the contracts offered?
I personally think he has already proved himself many times over the years.
I’d agree, and if Kayne is getting a contract seems like Coventry should too
When we signed Coventry, we paid a smaller fee but gave a large sell on, so maybe thats pushed his importance down the list. I agree though, he looks good and deserves an extension
Coventry was free but it was a huge sell on apparently they wanted 50% from Wednesday.

He has had a good start to the season but needs to maintain that level, last season he was part of the worse midfield in the championship last year very much a wait and see with him could lose his spot to Ouma in a few weeks Mwamba progresses and he’s suddenly 4th choice again
Judging by his pre-match interview, it doesn't sound like Coventry is currently in contract talks with the club.

He's still on a League One contract right now. Is he worth actual Championship wages? I have a feeling that NJ will want to keep improving the squad and he'll be allowed to leave.
Coventry has shown his worth during the past couple of seasons, before his injury earlier this year.

He's tidy on the ball and helps knit the team together. NJ asked him to play deep as the sole DM in a 3-5-2 and he's done that job pretty dependably.

But with the formation change to 4-2-3-1 he looks reborn this season with Chalobah beside him as the double pivot, and we're already beginning to see he is capable of more than we thought.

Let's see how things develop, I feel there's more to come from Coventry.
Just going on available evidence here. If NJ saw Conor as a part of our evolution over the next few seasons, or as a player of real value, he wouldn't let his contract run down. He's also made a concerted effort to sign Holsgrove, and the other midfielders he's brought in have been more physical in profile. This all suggests to me that NJ has other plans.

If he was having a medical yesterday I can’t see why negotiations were still going on.
Please see post from Cawley confirming what I posted.

Good interview on Cawley’s substack today.

    Main takeaways:
Okonkwo is a great human being and Coventry is a proper human being.

It's amazing the amount of people on here who seem to involved within the club in some way, judging by the amount of times I see the words "I've heard" being quoted...🤔

Rak-Sakyi on Friday is my prediction... No knowledge (shock / horror)... Just the whole... "Lets surprise Preston" sort of thing
I think if we all know JRS is signing, then it's not going to catch Preston by surprise

Also it’s not fair that we have to play on Wednesday and then Saturday, typical Premier League bias. Except Spurs also play on Saturday so it’s not that biased I guess, but it’s still harder to prepare for Preston. Except Preston also play a Premier League team tonight so they don’t get an advantage. I guess it’s fine. It’s fine.
