Worst case, if we’ve got Collins, Koumetio and Ramsay injured…. Who can play CB on Saturday?

Best of luck to you as well. Although after last year we might see you in the Championship... you never know 😉

So they bring on 80 mill pound striker and a World Cup winner that’s how serious spurs took this game … Shame we could not play our first team think it would have been very different but it was the right decision..….. the boys worked extremely hard without much reward especially the front 4 … Proud of our boys to lose two centre backs in first 20 mins .. was hard enough but up to spurs first goal I think we were very much in it and had the better two chances .. the ref was a disgrace ..

Looking at the goals, I think Brooks is getting a bit too much grief.
Granted, he could’ve done better for the first, but I can’t see that he had much chance with any of the others. The last one looked at first glance like he could’ve done better, but that deflection off Davies made saving it pretty much impossible.

when will managers give the Caribao cup the respect it deserves...
If Jones cant be bothered with it, just don't bother entering.
Not picking your strongest team because you are prioritising a more important and relevant fixture in the long term = not being bothered?

I think Danny Mac might be the best signing we've made in the last 20 years

Our squad was nowhere near good enough, so I doubt our best 11 would have done much better.

    we move on.

Very sad about the injuries and could not give a fuck about the cup.

NJ did the right thing to use the squad and if nothing else, we know where we need to get rid/add to the squad.

This game proves that some of our squad is not up to it…

    - knibbs
    - apter
    - docherty
    - brooks

    Jury’s out on

    _ Alli
    - asimwe
    - ouma

    impressed with

    - mbick
    - mesik
    - Muamba

Hopefully NJ can do a little more business and ship a few out before the window shuts

My Spurs supporting husband thought he was our best player.

Mwamba has to be pushing for that 10 slot - can he play there chaps that know more? @Scoham @anyonethatknows
Mainly been a DM or box to box CM when I’ve seen him, but it would be one way to ease him into the team.

I think he’s really shown why he’s been on the bench ahead of Doc and deserves to continue being in the matchday squad, getting more minutes.
I think he could play in the 10 role. He can both run with the ball and pass it. But he will be in the 8 role probably. Instead of either Cov or Chalobah

    Wasn't expecting much TBH

We have seen that Knibbs, Apter, Doc - not deserving even B Team
Goalie had a tough test - I don't think he saw he Moore goal and Savio is obviously class

Changes made a difference and we looked a better team - except Doc R Wing and Apter still on ?

Not fussed about the result, but feel for the nearly 6,000 Charlton fans who got tickets to the game, only for us to put out our reserves!
If you're not expecting that with NJ as manager... You've learned nothing. League above all else.
    Pathetic response

I can accept us playing a B team and getting done by 300m of talent but the players and staff to not come within 30 metres of the away fans at end has fucked me off beyond belief.

thats a disgraceful reaction to those that have paid and travelled
Now that is something worth getting annoyed over. That's disappointing.
That not good - NJ needs to apologise

Think he done very well was playing at Gateshead 12 months ago remember .. first one took a deflection perhaps a taller keeper gets the third but it was right in the corner he can be proud

Yeah agree, I’d say the downside to him being in the 10 is less space to drive into or pick out those longer passes, and he’s probably not going to be a goal threat like Carey or Knibbs can be.

Positives - Mwamba looks class. Jones keeps his scoring record up. Knibbs vs Carey debate is probably settled. Apter is our saviour posts will now be obsolete. Mesic looked comfortable. The commentator buzzed off Asiimwe (out of all our players!) so much we might be able to get a bit of cash for him.
The constant praise of Asimwe was so weird but they knew so little about us I suspect he was t he only player he could identify!

Considering that was a reserve team and even less in some cases that Jones put out I felt collectively we emerge with great credit. Some good performances and never say die- no matter what the score attitudes -out there make me feel that this will be a good season. I've never enjoyed a consolation goal more either!

Ultimately if we beat Preston no one will really mind this particular foray in North London.
For Nathan Jones a classic case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.

It’s not though. We’ve got minutes into players, who when called upon will be much sharper and fitter for it now.
After one 90 mins? What if they sit on the bench or even out of the squad completely for the next month or so. If I'm Sonny Carey I'm thinking when am I ever going to play at Spurs again. I'll mever understand throwing a game like this
Ultimately I reckon NJ knows more about managing his players than us.
Of course but I reckon the majority of fans wanted us to have a go tonight.

Meh. We simply don’t have the squad depth or quality to compete in the Champ AND a cup run. Best to do as we’ve done and get some good competitive minutes in for the B squad lads and crack on with the season.

But Jones was always going to play the reserves, he always does at this stage. That was always going to happen.

Jones gave us one of the best away wins in nearly 20 years at the weekend and all the players were dead on their feet with a huge home game against a struggling team in less than 3 days. He was NEVER going to play our first team.

I get that. But take the emotion out of it and it’s just folly to approach a game like this like that. What’s to gain from it long term by playing a stronger 11?

Its why we don’t manage a football team playing in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

We literally drew Chelsea last season, played a strong team and still lost, so I don't really know what the f**k you are talking about
