    Burke being injured again is the really really frustrating one. The guys made of Papier Mache and just can't be relied upon as cover.

    Only positive is if there are long-term injuries we will have a few days to bring people in.

    Oh absolutely. I fully expect the original lineup had Burke at CB and Sichenje at RB. 

    Leaves you with a bit of a conundrum with Asiimwe who I ultimately expect still goes but the fullback depth looks a touch shaky now. Guess Mesik can play both sides and hopefully Josh isn't too far off.

    Not done till it’s done. If we suddenly need to splurge money elsewhere it may affect the JRS signing. Or it may not.

    Burke also injured.  NJ indicated that Koumetio’s injury looked concerning.  
    Ok, hadn't heard the NJ comments or that Burke is injured. Will probably have to do something then. Hopefully not at the expense of getting in other targets, but budgets must be met, I guess.

    Bell is way too short to be a CB in a back 4.. Mesik as well potentially although would prefer him over Bell but only as a stop gap.

    Absolutely gutted we've lost Koumetio. Just as it seemed the stars were aligning and we finally had some physical presence in the side.

    We basically need to sign a big bastard to replace him to placate me.

    Burke is also injured, Bell is constantly an injury risk, Asiimwe is nowhere near good enough, and couldn't be used in the middle of defence, and Jones played about 40% of last season carrying an injury. 

    I'd say losing 2 centre backs in one night, and one the day before, is pretty dire personally 
    It’s a disaster but Mesik looked pretty decent , first half anyway.

    Mesik looked comfortable enough at centre back so maybe Chambers wouldn't be a bad idea.

    Jones saying everything we're going for in transfers we aren't now as we need to replace the defenders, not looking at weeks for either. 

    I hope he means after JRS and not JRS is one we're cancelling

    If we don’t sign JRS because of injuries to our CBs, I’ll be devastated. 

    Just sign a loan CB and get on with the deal …

    Initially, when Jones was comparing strengths it sounded Like Billy and Bell were going to be duking it out for the LCB place.

    Im also sure in interviews with Mesik he mentioned that NJ saw him as a LB.

    But I wouldn’t be shocked to see it the other way around against Preston.

    Loans no matter their age are a squad place I believe so I guess we may not register Koumetio, Sichenje or Burke if they’re really bad injuries.

    Luckily if the owners are willing we can choose to try and bring another in if they think necessary. If some are out long term do they get registered. It's rollercoaster time already .

    Chambers himself could be an option if it meant shifting others about. Liverpool probably need him at the moment though.
