    We’re not going to go and spend £4m on a CB or loan fee. That would be mad.

    I’m hoping Jones is just being emotional - he wouldn’t have even spoken to the powers that be.

    JRS announced tomorrow.

    They've got to rethink that and find a way around it. We can't be missing out on JRS on a permanent, we've got to shuffle things around to bring him and a CB in.

    You cant cancel JRS because of defensive injuries, that's insane, he would be a game changer, just get a loan in to block shots as that's how we defend anyway.

    It obviously sucks we've got 2 injuries to defenders but no point throwing a strop and chucking our strategy out the window. Complete the transfer for JR-S and use the remaining time in the window to bring in a defender as cover for the injuries. Not that difficult in my opinion.

    I hope he's talking about Holsgrove or another bonus signing elsewhere on the pitch and not JRS.

    Being Charlton though it'll be JRS, and he'll go somewhere else and become the £15m+ player we know he could be for us.

    Burke and Sichenje should be the pair that aren’t registered if anything. 
    Burke’s injury record even before coming to us was ridiculous and Sichenje has had 3 injuries since he joined us. Not ideal obviously but Jones completely shot himself in the foot by bringing Burke in in the first place knowing that his legs are made of breadsticks. We all saw it a mile off.

    Surely we can’t sacrifice our star and main signing in JRS right before confirming it because of this and as a result most likely destroying the rest of our season & any future profit as that was the last main gap to fill. 

    Mesik showed he’s more than capable of playing at centre half today and actually really liked the look of him. Bell can also play there, and surely have Ramsay back soon as well. 

    Would much prefer to see us bring in a prem loan or even free agent as opposed to sacrificing and pulling the plug on JRS. I think that would be the real disaster.

    It's when he says "all the things" it sounds like multiple possible bits of business so can't be solely JRS

    Just don't register Collins and look at it again in Jan.

    Loan in either a LB to free up Bell and Mesik, or a CB.

    JRS signing being cancelled will really ruin the good feelings around the club.

    A: Why can’t we just bring forward next years budget like we did for Collins.

    B: How do they know so soon the extent of the injuries. Normally it’s ‘got to go for a scan’ etc etc.

    C: We’ve got Josh coming back soon, so that helps a bit.
