Club see Redmond as the cheap alternative at Right-Wing.

I'm going to wake up tomorrow and we'll have signed JRS and none of this chat tonight will have happened okay

If the club binned off JRS to sign Nathan Redmond then I expect Roland level protests for the Preston game

I’ll be absolutely gutted if this JRS deal dries not happen at this stage because of a couple injuries. Shit night all round .

Our scouting really is poor in recent years. Collins, Burke, Billy all injury nightmares
Sichenje looks like an ACL that’s just unfortunate, Koumetio’s previous injuries have been impact related think it’s unfair to have a go at scouting their + Burke was clearly a Jones decision

This ìs why you should start every game with your first team. It's a game of football. As a professional football club you should be trying to win every game. All the crap about players getting injured is ridiculous. If your reserve player gets injured they need replacing dont they?

Pretty laughable that we won't sign someone for 3/4/5m because our 3rd/4th choice centre back got injured, Billy is a blow but Collins hasn't really had aook in due to being injured.

If its longer than 6 months then don't include them in the 25 man squad

Any update on when Edwards back?

I just don’t see who/where we spend the rumoured £4m+ on a couple of CBs.

    Who is on the list?
  • If we were that short at the back anyway why we’re even floating a deal for JRS surely the priority should’ve been another cb.

    The whole thing stinks

Thankfully it seems Cawley's pessimistic viewpoint is simply based on Jones' post match comments, and given how he often speaks from the heart and not the head and reacts to things, I doubt this actually scuppers the JRS deal

Jones needs to give his head a wobble he's meant to be a professional, prick.

But 24 hours ago we weren't short at the back, the point is we've had 3 injuries in the same position in the same day.

Any position on the pitch would be similarly fucked if we got 3 injuries in them

If the JRS deal is off then that would have happened well before kick off tonight.
He’s either using the injuries as a reason for it being scuppered , which is ridiculous , or he’s speaking without thinking , which wouldn’t be unusual.

Cawley's pod does not make for good listening tonight.
    What's been said then?
Doesn't think JRS will happen now.
    Cawley actually said?
Can’t see any evidence that RC made any comment on it ..?

So wait, do people honestly think our first XI can compete with what will be a strong premiership team this year?

If so, does that mean - with a bit of luck- we should be competing for promotion this year?

Whichever player is a permanent fixture Luton’s physio room .

To be honest having watched a lot more different games last year it always seemed like teams had injury crisis.

    Maybe it’s the modern game?

I’m actually glad Jones has put this team out going to be so relieving knowing it’s Docherty Apter and Asiimwe’s last game knowing they’re getting sold to meet squad registration rules
    Asiimwee was MOTM.

Perhaps we need a couple of injuries out wide so the JRS deal is pushed through…

Considering we only have Apter out on the right I think we’re already in that position

If big Billy and Collins are out long term, can we recall Zach and perhaps sign Naby, who is unattached?

I got a feeling that NJ is talking about another deal and not JRS .. and that one has to be scrapped  to bring in a CB .. … there no way from the final whistle to the press interview has Rodwell and NJ  had time to sit down to look at options ….Rodwell seemed in good spirits this morning on talksport ….NJ seemed pretty pissed if so maybe he can’t get his target after all Holsgrove deal is pulled
