Probably a bit but the AI I've seen is more of a useful help tool than one who could replace a full time staff member.

From what I've seen though offshoring to India seems to be the preferred method currently rather than hire in country. Add on interest rates have been high, taxes on business plus no doubt IT budgets have been slashed due to Cloud costs and subscriptions rising year on year 

AI is, in fact, having an enormous impact on the IT industry, particularly in software development. Most places that would have taken on graduates, for instance, have either cut back drastically or completely cut their grad intake for the year. I work for one if the largest independent software vendors in Europe and we are taking a slightly different approach - embedding AI in the design and release process rather than using it as an opportunity to cut roles - but AI allows development houses to massively accelerate their release cycles. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that they'll use that as an opportunity to cut roles.

Don't make the mistake of thinking AI is a 'help tool'. As far as you can see it, that might be the case - but in the background, it's already replacing huge swathes of mostly entry and low level jobs.

Three major UK airports have been hit by a "cyber security incident" in which criminal hackers accessed the data of almost nine million people and demanded a ransom.

Manchester Airports Group (MAG), which owns Manchester, East Midlands and London Stansted airports, said customers' contact details, vehicle registrations and postcodes were obtained by hackers at the weekend.

Our investigation has identified that some of your personal information relating to airport car parking, lounge, Fast Track bookings and on-airport WIFI sign-ups has been accessed by an unauthorised third party.
