It’s fucking about and making too many changes and expecting those players with not enough game time in the tank to instantly gel and cope with a high profile match.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:Two league games into the season and we have numerous players out injured. Is it just bad luck or poor scouting?
We had a core team of players that clearly were already working (exceptionally) well together. It’s better to slot a couple of players into that settled scenario to let the core players ease them in. Making wholesale changes, particularly with players that haven’t had relevant game time or have had little game time, means that not only are they used to each other as a team yet they will try and over compensate on what they have to do. Mistakes then happen and so will injuries.

Quite noticeable that multiple players were slipping over/losing their footing.TheHerminator said:
All the injuries came in a game against a prem side on their pitch pretty much.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:Two league games into the season and we have numerous players out injured. Is it just bad luck or poor scouting? No scouring report is going to be able to predict that2 -
Surely he’s coming as a starter, hope it comes off , think that would settle us all down a bit👍3

Regarding player budgets I don’t think you’re complaining just stating a fact. Let’s be honest if we had a bit more money would we have purchased Burke. Probably not! However, the owners are a huge improvement on previous.RonnieMoore said:
We just come up from league one we are now where near being in par with 90 % of the championship .when it comes to budgets . the owners have done fantastic to supply the budgets they have since we got promoted .. but as we are told it’s small steps each year .. did you expect us to make an offer that would have broken out transfer record ??SouthLincsAddick said:
Poor funding. We’ve had to take risks because we’re in the bottom five (or even lower) of Champo player budgets.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:Two league games into the season and we have numerous players out injured. Is it just bad luck or poor scouting?0 -
In a properly run business there will always be contingency plans. Fair play to the Club in acting so fast.10

Bindon is absolutely class. Very happy with that as a replacement for the season. If this is the level of our remaining business we will be in a good place15

I think I have been to Nelson Abbey whilst on holiday up north. It rained.ForeverAddickted said:Bindon has reminded me of Nelson Abbey who was another Centre Back prospect at Reading, who left and went to Olympiakos, but is now in Portugal8 -

I still think our priority after Bindon is another CB btw. We need a Jones back-up2

Maybe I’ve missed something but why are we writing Kanu off already. Couldn’t he be our ‘new’ right winger?12

Wow, wasn't expecting Bindon. That's a real coup in my mind. A younger Lloyd Jones. Looking at the obligatory heat map he would slot in at LCB.

Because he’s barely played since preseason and the squad cap means 4-6 players will likely have to go, the lack of game time pretty much confirms he’ll be one of them.Stuart_Learys_Boots said:Maybe I’ve missed something but why are we writing Kanu off already. Couldn’t he be our ‘new’ right winger?
He’s also a striker and not a winger.6 -
Has he even played Right Wing?Stuart_Learys_Boots said:Maybe I’ve missed something but why are we writing Kanu off already. Couldn’t he be our ‘new’ right winger?1 -

Sorry Ronnie, if you think I was moaning your wrong, just stating the reasons I think we’ve had to risks on some players. Very happy with the owners, rather be in this position than facing a points deduction from breaching funding rules. I think NJ has pulled of miracles each season considering how little money we’ve had. He’s also developed exciting talent like TC 😉RonnieMoore said:

Did you see how much water Spurs sprayed on the pitch before the game and at half time?995632 said:
