    Probably true but that side is definitely going to have a job finishing higher than 17th. Unfortunately i suspect they will end up surviving because the 3 promoted clubs probably won't even get to 30 points.

    Hopefully one of them can get to 35-36 and make life tough for Palace.
    I’ve got hope for Ipswich seeing as it’s their second stab at it and having spent more money they may have a chance

    Second season syndrome, and will be a bit more stretched with European football where they haven't added much to the squad this summer.  I don't think they'll go down, but I do think they'll be a lot nearer the bottom three this year.

    Ipswich I think look like they could have a decent shot at staying up this time, but then depends on O'Neil too and how well he does there.

    As VAR has disallowed the Liverpool equaliser I believe everyone should see the merit in the technology on occasions!

    You understood or possibly not my inference concerning Liverpool ?
    Video technology is used in Tennis, Rugby, Cricket etc.
    The technology "a total bag of Shite" is your language but the way it's used in football suffers from the rules and how different on field refs and VAR interpret what they have seen.

    Liverpool v Forest has been a cracking game even though I wouldn't rule out Liverpool scoring again.

    Iraola is an excellent young manager as he proved at Bournemouth but I can't remember the same pressure being a cherries manager.

    Risky thing to do in the world of Social Media these days... Fans do that sort of thing in other Sports and end up getting vilified as a result - Some have even ended up losing their jobs, which is something the Scouser wont have to worry about at least

    Cheers @North Lower Neil . Looking at what happened after (the bit I missed before) it looks like the scuzzy scouse git got told by the stewards to give it to the kid. Good on them.

    Football simply isn’t compatible with VAR, due to the pace of the game, cricket and egg chasing it is not.

    Steal that moment of pure joy of a goal and replace it with a bunch of rulers and charts and the moment dies.

    Rarely watch premier league, but Chelsea Brighton was enjoyable. Could have been 5-5 at least. Both look great going forward and a shambles at the back.

    Operation Send Palace Down having a major boost here. Not talking about the early table…. more that Ipswich have invested well.

    Fatawu looks electric. They have pace all over the pitch and without doubt on paper this is a team that can finish above the Nigels

    Have to agree. So what if his shot was off target. If he hadn’t have shot then the defender wouldn’t have stuck his leg out and deflected the ball in. The fact is that by the ball hitting his hand McGuire gained an advantage.
