I thought Rich Cawley confirmed at time we’d received a substantial bid for Micah, said to be around £5 mill, but turned it down.I’m hopeful he’ll be playing tomorrow at the Valley even if it’s just 45 minutes. Really hope Ouma is getting minutes too.5

Mbick will be with the first team at West Brom this week. Might even be starting if we don’t want to risk Leaburn playing Saturday-Wednesday-Saturdaymart77 said:I thought Rich Cawley confirmed at time we’d received a substantial bid for Micah, said to be around £5 mill, but turned it down.I’m hopeful he’ll be playing tomorrow at the Valley even if it’s just 45 minutes. Absolutely no chance we risk that given the injury he's coming back from and him already having played 100 minutes in the last weekmart77 said:fenaddick said:

Which is why need a loan + Mbick. Or we’re shifting Grant around each week.NabySarr said:

I’m assuming that bid didn’t match what we wanted at the time or match what we thought we could get potentially in the future.fenaddick said:
NJ said the other day that we turned down a bid in January, didn't mention a fee of courseDOUCHER said:Its being talked about as fact that Brighton made a big bid for Mbick last season. £5m it was rumoured i believe, but it was just that wasn't it? a rumour? Maybe given his injury, doing half hour for us every other game where he can learn the game at this level might suit him better than playing 90 every week lower down?0 -
I thought the bis was around £3m and we wanted £5m.Whatever, glad we didn’t sell. You can see that Nathan is building for the future and gradually bringing a formidable group of youngsters together.7

I often don't go again. Mbick will get good minutes in Championship. Loan to league 1 not on his favour. Be around a positive squad, with experience, Godden included, and contribute. He can be major for us0
-
Wouldn't be against it if Mbick could go out on loan to an upper league 1 team and play every week though. Only going to be good for his development in the long runNabySarr said:I would rather keep Mbick as one of our strikers than sign Jebbison on loan. Would need to be a bigger upgrade to be worth signing a striker in my opinion. You are stealing championship minutes and development from Kelman, Leaburn and Mbick so it’s got to be better than that0 -

I don’t think so. We will have Kelman and Godden back in 4 games time. Leaburn and Mbick can share the minutes until then, Grant is there if needed. The Red Robin said:

Wouldn’t be against seeing him up front as could be the best way we get both in the eleven1 -
Is there a body of work for a top end L1 team to take a punt on him more so than there is for Kanu? It's much easier for us to play him for 30 minutes here and there than it is for someone like Huddersfield to put their promotion push on his shouldersCAFCsayer said:

Estoril’s away kit is lovely.

Seems Burnley are looking at a winger from Sunderland instead of JRS0

Thought they had already signed Ramazani from Leeds?Callumcafc said:Seems Burnley are looking at a winger from Sunderland instead of JRS
Either way two wingers not called JRS.
Fascinated to see how JRS plays out3 -
I wouldn’t be comfortable with that. Godden will get more injuries, Leaburn’s history suggests he’ll miss time as well. If both Godden and Leaburn aren’t available at the same time, that leaves Kelman or Mbick as the centre forward. Grant can play there of course, which I’m fine with, but it’s clear he can have more of an impact in of the three supporting the centre forward (I prefer him in the ‘ten’ role).NabySarr said:

Can see Scotland coming into play for a couple of them with a Thursday window close.NabySarr said:
If it really came to it, we could loan them out for free rather than have them here and not able to play. I’m sure we will be able to find moves for them though, even if we end up picking up the majority of the wagesSouthbank said:
Bear in mind we don't have to sell them. They will just not be in the 25. Not ideal, but better than having to play with reserves that are just not up to it ( Apter,Knibbs etc)golfaddick said:And I think the "ins" are harder to sign due to the "outs" not leaving.
Just over 28 hours to go & we need to loan out or sell another 3 (if not 4) players.2 -
So if Ramazani has gone to Leeds does that mean the Sunderland winger could come to us?DamoNorthStand said:

That would be bad for all parties and give us a bad reputation. But the threat of leaving players unregistered will hopefully motivate them to lower their demands and find a club.Garrymanilow said:I can't imagine a scenario where we just don't register Apter and leave him to rot, surely there's a point where someone would take him on loan for nothing0 -

We currently have 4 options for No 9, 3 senior players, that's more than any other position on the pitch. With the squad size rules, a 4th senior striker would just leave us more exposed elsewhere. The Red Robin said:

In November, we might have all our strikers fit, but have 3 midfielders injured instead, or 3 wingers missing.
If Godden or Kelman were long term injuries, like Sichenje, that would be different of course. You would then need to bring someone in, but could also deregister someone to make the space.2 -
Generally stunned how we’re one day away from the transfer window ending and there’s some people who still don’t understand the squad registration rules.- Max Squad size of 25 (currently on 27)
- U21 don’t count unless they’re on loan
Nathan Jones wants 2 signings takes us to 29.Means 4 players HAVE to go if we don’t want to pay pointless wages (Asiimwe,Doc,Apter and probably one of Knibbs/JRC/Godden).
Rodwell and Carter haves banged on having 27 man squad meaning we need 25 senior players and 2 U21 which will be Mwamba AND Mbick he’s not getting loaned as we don’t have space to replace him11 -
Disappointed we didn't get a name today... tomorrow is going to be a rollercoaster.3

Didn’t a ITK state that it wasn’t a heart condition. This could be chinese whispers completing the circle. The Red Robin said:
where does that come from though? Because a few on here suggested for no reason it could be his heart with no evidence of that.VanbrughHill said:Was mentioned to me on Saturday that (allegedly) Rak-Sakyi’s medical failed due to irregularities with his heart and hence seems to tie in with the fact that no-one has bought him permanently and if that’s the option we explored then the insurance on the length of contract must have been hefty. Apologies if this was mentioned before but I can’t be bothered to trawl through 500 pages of Rak-Sakyi chat. Hope I’ve heard incorrectly but I’d say chance of a permanent move tomorrow must surely be done if it’s true.1 -
Think we're definitely in for an interesting day tomorrow. Hopefully no deal sheets required 🤞🤞Callumcafc said:Disappointed we didn't get a name today... tomorrow is going to be a rollercoaster.0 -
No, I think someone quite literally guessed and hypothesised that. There’s zero substance to it.SouthLincsAddick said:

They should have put deadline day on the bank holiday. How am I supposed to do any work tomorrow with the potential for 6 deals done by us11

Or three players go as Sichenje probably isn’t going to be registered - unless you’ve included him there.Crispywood said:Generally stunned how we’re one day away from the transfer window ending and there’s some people who still don’t understand the squad registration rules.- Max Squad size of 25 (currently on 27)

Correct. It was only ever raised as a hypothetical example of a problem any player could have which would not be apparent to observers. A bit irresponsible to raise it, I thought, but no harm was intended. The Red Robin said:
