What did he actually give the pen for? No one around me seems to know.

Ouma and Stoke player hugging and tussling, Ouma ended up dumping the stoke boy to the ground and pen.

The sort of stuff you see all the time from corners and rarely see given.
Didn't even dump him, their player ducked his head under Ouma's arm and dove down into the floor, you could tell by Ouma's arm position that he wasn't putting pressure on the guys head, unless he has the strongest triceps in the world

Well, this has definitely been worth getting up at 5 am for!

Dodgy pen, two bad deflections, and new centre back paring losing each others signal and parting like the Red Sea. Tough to sit and watch, but feels like one of those days. Hope they get it all out of their system today and move onto the next one.

I’m going back to bed - you lot try not to totally lose your minds. Golfie has been one of the more reasonable voices on here today - maybe have a think about that before you start laying into everyone in a purple shirt.

We should have the concede option - you lose the game plus 1 point -

The Ouma pile on here is a joke.

it wasn’t a penalty and the clearance was unlucky. 9/10 that passes Grant and is away.

Why aren’t people slaughtering Bindon for the 3rd goal?

Ouma had a tough start at Tottenham and people have made their minds up and want to ruin him.
Agree. It’s pretty painful to read. Not saying he is playing great but nowhere near as bad as some of these comments.

There’s a whole number of poor 30 min performances out there.

Disrespectful from the Stoke player there, well done to Leaburn for continuing to chase it down

They're the sort of challenges where players get injured. Remember sweaty balmer getting done badly like that. Obvious yellow but zero consistency from refs yet again
  • Costello should only ever come off the bench!
Skipp & Ouma we’ll say no more!
    Badly missing Coventry!

Hylton (I think) nose to nose with Robins on touchline
Embarrassing if true. They all need to get a grip of themselves.

Jones has got his full-time blast at the referee sorted anyway.
We'll ignore the disruptive line-up changes and poor handling of players newly entering the squad.

Mark Robbie  must be thinking he has used up most of his luck this half.

    Ffs Skipp.

Difference between us & other teams. They have players on the edge if the box who can score

Madeley couldn't wait to get his card out there, prick
  • This is literally the most unenjoyable half of football I can ever remember.

    Horrific on every level.

Just need a red card now
You won't have long to wait i fear

Leaburn gets a yellow but that thud into LJ was fine.

Even the bias commentators are perplexed.

Don't get me wrong we've been dog shit and completely lost our heads. But I've never seen a clearer example of a ref that's been paid off ever before. Just every decision has gone their way. If we were committing fouls like they are we would have had 9 yellows and a couple reds by now.

The game so far is like when in Ancient Rome triumphant generals had people in the chariot with them reminding them they are still mere mortals.
All of us are being humbled by this experience and all at the club.

This was always going to be a tough game but changing your entire midfield is always an absolutely insane thing to do for anything other than a cup match against lower league opposition. A debut, a full league debut and the first time the other has ever started in the 10 for us. Madness

Massive wake up call that we have to compete at our very best every game, we can’t just turn up and expect to turn teams over. Midfield is still our biggest issue, not sure we’ve really sorted it.
Silly to change all 3 today I think. I know a rest would be preferable but I think Coventry needed to start alongside a new signing in Skipp or inexperienced Ouma.

We'll ignore the impressive start before the penalty then... The concern here is how the players have reacted to the penalty
