    I predicted Skipp would start but I’m not sure he was even with the squad on Wednesday and what with the squad being away maybe it wasn’t the right decision to start him.

    We do shoot ourselves in the foot, our main midfield signing was it appears guaranteed to get injured, Chalobah is needed back quickly.

    Well, I hope JRC has enjoyed his last start of the season before December. I feel like he's spoken to Jones and asked what else he can do to get in the 11 and Jones has had to accept he's not wrong. The problem is he's good at coming on in stretched games and not starting them, particularly with a midfield behind him that has a combined 0 league starts between them. I'm sure there's more to come from Ouma and Skipp but this asked a lot of them and then there's no rhythm or leadership in the team once that dodgy pen gets given. Depending on what happens in the second half I don't think this feels as damaging as the Saints game because we can always point to this criminally poor reffing performance at least as some mitigation but it's not great. Let's hope a different side comes out second half. Ideally 1970s Brazil.

    No problem with the formation which had seen cafc joint top but I said Skipp and Ouma would be brilliant or a disaster in the preview; it was the latter.

    Anything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

    I wish Lloyd would get the players to push up because Arthur has so many bodies in front of him that deflections are bound to happen.

    If the Penalty against Ouma was given in the Premier, Declan Rice would've a dozen given against  him !
     I can assume TC was being rested for the next game at 3-0 or did he miss a tackle and Nathan had the hump ?

    It wasn’t, we signed 3 CMs, promoted a 4th from the u21s and released our CM captain. Couldn’t have done much more in that position.
    We could have got a proper 10. We have already had Carey, Knibbs, Grant and Costello playing in that position in 6 games. Obviously a problem.

    If it wasn’t for Ouma’s calamity there’d be more scrutiny on Skipp’s performance

    Get through second half without any injuries or suspensions and get back to London is about the best we can hope for at this stage. 

    As soon as i saw who the ref was i had a bad feeling. He is absolutely woeful. Doesnt excuse our absolute capitulation.

He needed after the pen to have a quiet word with Ouma, tell him to keep his head up, forget it and get on with it. That’s why Doc WAS a great captain, he’d have been in Ouma’s ear encouraging him.
    This is my worry about him as captain. He’s an amazing player but he’s not a vocal captain he’s even said so himself. In times like this he doesn’t know how to rally players and be encouraging with words and he loses his cool way too quickly when we’re under the coch. I know it might not seem like much but vocal leaders in the dressing room are important.

    Banging on about those using stats but the last two seasons, you've commented on being able to see performances with "Your own eyes", claiming we wouldn't go up losing at Reading, whilst claiming last year plenty we'd get relegated... So yeah your track record is pretty unreliable as well

    So we’ve rested Coventry, then brought him on at 4-0 down.

    Surely, if he could only play 45, we’d have been better starting him rather than starting Skipp and Ouma who probably don’t even know each others name.
