    I'm surprised Rizwan was dropped, but his decision making & keeping has been poor in this series.
    I was at Lord's on day 1 and said to the guys next to me after about 20 minutes that Rizwan and the "slips" needed to move forward as the ball was clearly dropping short.

    I heard the commentators subsequently keep saying this throughout the Test and they never did. 
    Bizarre in the extreme.

    At Edgbaston tomorrow in The Hollies Stand - Christmas present from my youngest. I will probably drink more than I ought and the weather looks ok as well for a full day's play. Really looking forward to it.

    The confidence level of the Pakistan team must be at absolute zero. Illustrated by the fact they've just shown Pakistani bowlers measuring out their run-ups, despite having lost the toss and being inserted.

    A bizarre situation.

    Player sent home, without playing in the first 2 Tests, but also 7 players have been called up to the squad, several who won't play in the only game they'll be in the country for.

    That LBW decision was the type of one you get on a Saturday afternoon opening the batting and then have to sit and sulk for the rest of the day. Absolute stinker!

    Starting this game on a Wednesday makes it highly likely that it won't reach the weekend.

    When was the last time Pakistan had a side as poor as this? They might well not get 200 runs in an innings in the whole series.

    Sad to see. The hierarchy are real cowards throwing the players under the bus too 
    Gillespie resigned because they removed him from the selection panel saying that "he didin't sign up for that". How can a coach manage a side and make tactical decisions with players he did not want or think were good enough?

    To be fair to him he has bowled much better than his figures show. 
    Several dropped catches of his bowling and Several inside edges. 
    On another day his figures would look quite different.

    I was sitting next to a rather boastful Pakistan supporter at Lord's, who said he'd got 25 tickets for day 5 at Edgbaston.
     
    I laughed and suggested day 5 was never happening and even if it did it could well be free entry.
    But he wasn't having it.  :p

    Pakistan are flying out 11 new players, so that we can have a 4th Test on Saturday and Sunday.

    It will be lucky if it goes any later than tea on day 3.

    The Aussies will be glad he never got a chance here. 

    "Stevo's gonna get yer" was frequently mentioned on a social media group of Aussie batters playing in the CC. In May 2021, Travis Head told Stevens about the group over a round of golf, boasting that he wouldn’t suffer the same fate. A few days later, Stevens bowled Head for a duck.
