If we lose this one v Derbyshire, which is looking a good possibility on first innings Alone, I think we can say goodbye to promotion. Northants will win v Worcs.

We have been a shambles over the two days so far, not good enough.  We really need to.look hard at ourselves as a team. We aren't good enough.

For god sake, I left the Kent fans Facebook page due to this sort of irrational posting. Please don’t tell me I have to stop looking at this site too?

your posts on here have literally been the same,  utterly depressing to read . We are still ahead, we have two home games on the bounce, it’s far from over.

We finished rock bottom last year, this year albeit didn’t start well has been a major improvement in this format. it’s not the end of the bloody world
So you are happy to accept what we are seeing in this match, and some of our bowling.

Ivw got news for you sunshine, it's not all about you.

I have a right to express my viewpoint in any way I like. I
F you don'tlike it, find somewhere else.

I am not going to express happy or not real posts on this time. So do one.

    ft219 all out.

Jug avoidance from Grant with 48.

Those extra runs could prove crucial later in the game

We haven't lost in the CC since 27th April and have won six of our last eight games. I've tried to explain how we are financially restricted and that we are in a period of transition. In each of the last three matches you've talked about us not being good enough. We might not be in this one but we haven't lost yet and we didn't lose those other two either.

Honestly mate, you’ll fit in well in that Facebook group. Give it a join, plenty of simple minded people on there to converse with.

A couple of disappointing features of the first half of this game:
    - 47 extras conceded by Kent. Extras were a big factor in our favour when we beat Middx, and now Kent have made a big contribution to Derbyshire’s lead.
    - the Kent lineup is heavily weighted by specialist batsmen and not one of them made a meaningful contribution.

    Anyways, back to the game.

Astonishing how one end of that pitch has deteriorated so badly, large amount of balls are keeping considerably low and getting people out. We need to capitalise massively on that.

It does seem to be one end that has broken up while the other has played relatively OK

If some might think things are bad for us, then perhaps they should look at becoming Glamorgan supporters

    Glamorgan - 69 all out & 65 all out
    Warwickshire - 351 all out

  • Worcs 37-3. Trail by 52. Northants should win that. Damn

That's it. call off the promotion party and cancel the open top bus. Absolute shambles

Those Bangladeshis better get some decent sleep. I want a five-for from both tomorrow morning..

This is only Mahmud's fourth game for us but he has already taken 26 wickets at 15.34. International commitments willing and providing no county with deeper pockets steps in, we have to try and sign him up for next season.

Interesting that Dudgeon was allowed to be the sub fielder by the match referee despite that making him the third overseas Kent player on the pitch.

Foreman comes on and takes a wicket straightaway - caught at short leg by Compton. Turn and bounce which will be a bit concerning for us later.

    146-4 for a lead of 227

How many points have Kent gained from this match?

Northamptonshire won and are now 5pts ahead, obviously bearing in mind this game is still in progress?

431 runs off 125.3 overs (min) needed today. Well neither of those are happening because Kent aren't getting 431 runs and Derbyshire aren't going to bowl a minimum of 125.3 overs!
