Yes, at Man City. He even admitted to it if I remember correctly.jose said:Did he stub out a cigar in the eye of an apprentice footballer?1 -
Yes. He paid the youth team kid 65k in an out of court settlement. He also:jose said:Did he stub out a cigar in the eye of an apprentice footballer?
Beat up his teammate Ousmane Dabo in training. Got a suspended sentence plus community service.
Beat up someone in Liverpool city centre after a night out. Got 6 months in prison.
Alleged to have assaulted the Barnsley manager after a game. Charged but found not guilty.
Beat up his wife. Got a 12 week suspended sentence.
Now charged with GBH for beating up this guy at his local club.
Basically just a violent, angry man.

Narcissists can't be taught a lesson because to learn something you'd have to be able to accept you were ever wrong in the first place. Joey Barton has never done anything wrong ever and everything bad that has happened to him in his life has been caused by a conspiracy to keep him down. He is misunderstood, primarily because he is too complex for any human brain other than his to understand. That's what he thinks anyway, the reality is he is a man of middling intelligence, the smartest person in his circle I don't doubt, but about a million miles away from actually having anything to offer society beyond damage. He's lucky he was good at football, now he just needs to sit still and leave everyone aloneElfsborgAddick said:One of the many problems with Barton is that he never seems to learn his lesson. This probably comes down to him being a nasty piece of work, I'll not be surprised if one day he gets a terrible hiding, this will either be out of prison or whilst he is in the slammer(and eventually the day will come he will be there for a long term).
There are a lot of people right now in a very similar situation, where instead of any kind of self analysis they instead look for someone else to blame.
When the likes of Barton, the Tate brothers etc yap on about how unfairly they’ve been treated and how everyone is out to get them, they truly believe it - despite its palpable and obvious ridiculousness.1 -
