What £39.50 a ticket gets you. 18,836 for a Saturday game against Pompey, with a full away, is terrible, especially considering the start we have made.
Agreed . I was there today with my son but at £37 a pop in the Curbs stand , it won’t be a regular thing as it has in the past along with the bag checking shambles and it being almost impossible to park near the ground , it will only get worse .
    Other than that it’s ok👍
I could go on but that’s Golfies job !
All joking apart I said to someone earlier it would be nice to see more in the stadium, but those prices in the current economical climate are shooting ourselves in the foot. I will buy my season ticket whatever so personally if they were to lower prices to get more in then maybe it needs looking at.

That's a whole lot for a ticket. I used to go for £20-25 for a ticket and thought that was a lot. I guess I am old now. But yeah, I imagine that prices out a lot of people.
  • Eh, another day Ali scores in the first half, we get the Leaburn pen and it's a routine 3 points. Annoying to not get it done but seems like we're in a good place to me.

A win at Cardiff to settle any jitters and get the squad fully fit over the break please!
I ain't got any "jitters" mate, we're doing just fine, Stoke aside, we've created some nice play, and just failed to get the finishing touch or a ref who can see might help, but 12 points and 6th after 7 games is a good return, and when we get a return of Edwards, Chalobah and Billy + Godden, we will be a settled mid table at least...

The thing is, it isn’t just the ticket, it’s the travel, food and drink, programme, taking kids and the extra costs involved. It used to be a very reasonably priced thing to do that takes a good part of a day to do with family, that’s not the case anymore which is a shame, we need to make it accessible now for the sake of having support in the future.

That’s right . It cost me £22 to park on someone’s drive too in Wolfe Crescent . It all adds up.  I used to leave the car across the park but it’s almost impossible to find any places there now plus I’m registered disabled due to my cancer which makes it difficult for me to walk that far . I realise the parking isn’t down to the club but they didn’t exactly put up much of a protest when the new restrictions came in.
  • We’ve got a week now and then a long international break.

We’ve got players that have been in the club less than a month in unfamiliar surroundings, players and tactics they may not be familiar with.

This team is not the finished article.

PWR. Got to be beating those that will be in our mini league at home and pompy are very average a bit like us. However, we didn't test their keeper all game where as we came close to conceding a few times.

Leaburn pure class once again. Him and TC on a different level this season.
    Not sure on Alli.
Binden puts me on edge and doesn't fill me with confidence.
Love big Arthur who does fill me with confidence.
Jones is right, the Ref & Lino once again fooking shite.

Peter Kay asked Leaburn if it was a pen and he said “ yeah he pushed me in the back “
I've been mostly offboard for a while, so did a doubletake at that and thought "We weren't playing Bolton, WTF was he doing there?" then remembered it's your nickname for one of your kids.

At least it sounds like it was less boring than Wednesday's match.

Can't agree when Skipp and Coventry were our two best players

I think @Airman Brown has mentioned on occasion that ticket sales are comparatively speaking, not the biggest source of revenue in the grand scheme of things

30 quid max or even 25, you may even pick up a few folk who don’t know what to do with a Saturday afternoon

Plus it helps with the atmosphere

Grim grim grim and did i mention the word grim.. Poor game by two useless sides. Left on 82 mins cos I could take no more of the dross on offer.

I loss in 7 or no win in 4 with 1 goal scored... You choose what you prefer. Better teams will pick us off and we have no threat to get back in... Onwards and upwards.... That's 400 miles this week to watch that dross... If they can't be arsed maybe I shouldn't.

Chalobah at #10 could be something. Makes more sense than putting Mwamba there, probably.

I love TC, but his final ball again today was very poor.
Especially the one that hit an unmarked man 6 yards out, just awful!

Two points from nine is a tad light with two home games in there, but we are still in the right end of the league table.

If our struggle with a lack of goals continues, there will need to be a focus on the signings and transfer approach for our 'evolution'.

Grant has covered all forward positions admirably. Ali was brought in as a wildcard. Lyndon Dykes was useful and has three in six this season despite being described as 'not good enough' by many. Godden and Kelman are never seen in the same room! Even with everyone fit, is there enough quality in the RM/RF position and the No. 10, or are we going to rotate Carey, Grant, JRC, and the next in line, Knibbs?

Time will tell, but I am more than happy with the league table so far. It is just an awareness that things can change very quickly at Charlton!

The change of shape this season was brave and players are adapting. Some seem to be benefiting,  Coventry and TC and some are  not Carey, Knibbs. I am very grateful for Goddens contributions for us but I  can't see him being that impact full where Leaburn is playing and he doesn't have the pace to run in behind like Kelman or Grant. It's early days and  Skipp is improving each game too. It was only a couple of weeks since we  were wondering if Lloyd could play in a 2. I wouldn't be surprised if we moved some on in Jan and brought in 1 or 2 that better suit the system.
  • Mousinho spent almost the entire game stood next to the 4th official whingeing.
Curtis Fleming was occasionally animated, obviously taking issue with what was going on, and I think Mousinho was eventually booked.
God knows what the bloke was complaining about anyhow. I can't recall a single controversial decision that went against them in the entire game

  • At the game, thought it was a decent performance considering how bad the QPR game sounded.

Highlight of the day, getting my son in @Braziliance vlog  :D

I take it back. Grants shot straight at him in the 1st half which was easily covered was the test.

A game we should have won but taking into account we should have lost on Wednesday it’s not a bad points return. 12 points after 7 games and firmly in the playoff places nobody should be moaning. Another don’t lose game to go and then we have a 3 week break to regroup.

in response to the small attendances I agree that the current prices are a massive factor along with access to the ground in terms of parking remotely close. Maybe a purpose built ground on the peninsula with plenty of parking is an option ? ( ok shoot me )

Reminded of that Grant effort, which he did well to create and struck well at a tight angle. I think he has brought us a serious upgrade in attacking quality this season that is yet to be widely appreciated. He's versatile and generally pretty reliable on the ball and his commitment has been impressive. Shame about some of the set pieces granted, and also shame that Carey is not competing with him effectively but that's not his fault.  Maybe a few more games and a few more goals from him, and others, and he'll get a bit more recognition.
