Couldn’t have realistically asked for any better without being fanciful. Great day.4

Ryan Higgins has given us a great chance of promotion. 115 is more than the Northants total, and only 3 other Middlesex batsmen got into double figures.Addick Addict said:Middx 255 all out for a lead of 152
Realistically, I don't think we could have expected much more of a better day given the status of both our game and the Northants match.2 -
Let's hope for a similar performance by Middlesex in the morning.4

On my way. First time for 20-odd years I have been to see Kent at Canterbury. Don't let me down boys!9
-
I was at Lords yesterday. Ball was swinging throughout the day and the umpires were giving marginal LBWs aplenty.
Late on, there was also a lot of spin.
Northamptonshire will need to bat superbly today, to make a game of it but Higgins showed that it could be done with excellent footwork against the medium pacers.

Always handy when the oppo give you four overthrows! 17 runs off Langridge's over, albeit including four leg byes
Raced to 94-22 -
Muyeye LBW for 11 (15)
97-31 -
52* (93) for Compton, thus going some way to vindicating his selection
109-36 -
Northants 25-0 (13)1

Is it just me or is everyone else suffering from buffering syndrome?0

Yes, very annoyingAddick Addict said:Is it just me or is everyone else suffering from buffering syndrome?1 -
147-3 and a 50 partnership3

No problem with buffering for me ... but then I'm not watching the cricket - it's AFL Grand Final Eve so the AFL channel on YouTube is showing 24 hours'-worth of back-to-back classic Grand Finals. Saw the second half of the '89 Grand Final between Hawthorn and Geelong earlier (the best Grand Final I've seen apart from West Coast winning ones), now in the final quarter of the '22 decider between Collingwood and Brisbane and next up (I think) is the 2018 meeting between West Coast and Collingwood followed by West Coast/Sydney 2006 edition (which was much better than 2005).Addick Addict said:Is it just me or is everyone else suffering from buffering syndrome?2 -

Pretty happy with that morning, especially after the two early wickets3

Hope Kent can push on for batting points and that lunch disrupts the Northants batsmen.2

The Lancs game started late, due to rain. I too was shocked that it was raining in Manchester...Addick Addict said:Bad light has stopped play in the Warwickshire game!5 -
Here. First time for 20-odd years I have been to see Kent at Canterbury. Not letting me down so far! DBD a bit lucky, with plenty of edges, and Compton fairly solid. It is turning out of the bowlers footmarks, so left handers may struggle as the game progresses. Lovely warm day and a decent crowd too.5

Northants 77-14

Won't be able to watch the Grand Final until Monday
Who you going for?
As a Brisbane 'fan' thought it was a great comeback in the semi0
