Well at least my forgotten glasses didn't prevent any goals this time.  Good start with the press working. Shame TC missed inside 20 seconds! JRC and Kelman did well for the goal. Then we stopped working. KAG booked, switched to the right, and it all falls apart. We struggle to win the ball then can't keep it.  Kelman chasing scraps. Coventry awful. TC anonymous. Carey off the pace. Edwards very rusty. I could go on.

Need Leaburn for Grant, for some physicality. Cov must improve or go off.

We can still win but it will be tough...

    COYA!

TC seems to have lost the aggression he had at the start of the season.  Which is a shame as I think it was probably the biggest difference in how well he was doing.  Today he seems to be back to being scared to fight for a 50-50 ball too hard.

Been better this week compared to recent games, but then I think our survival hinges on our ability to grind out the points at the Valley more so than what we achieve on the road - We're never going to control games at this level with our sort of budgets, not against teams like Norwich who should once again be doing a lot better what they are with the talent they've got at their disposal.
Just continues to show the gap between the Championship and the years we've been allowed to waste away in League One... If you've got the funds over the years to build an established team, you can still look better than a side recently promoted even when out of form!!

Be interesting to see where Bolton (with Brighton's recruitment data) and Lincoln (with a great recruitment track record) finish this season given both have been in L2 more recently than the Championship so the step up must be absolutely massive for them.
It’s Swansea with Brighton’s data not Bolton

At the ground. All so fucking predictable. Start well and then Jones decides we are going to hang on for 75 minutes and it backfires spectacularly.

Although can't blame Jones for that fucking woeful header from Ramsay that lead to the goal.

JRC has been good, but slow. Carey running hard. Not sure if Coventry is trying to cover too much ground as the sole DM but he's looked well off the pace.
I don't think Jones decided anything TBF
The way people talk on here, the players can't take a shit without Jones shouting instructions under the door
They need to start taking a look at themselves and take responsibility, they're not children, so should stop being treated as such
  • Literally every game of football ebbs and flows, and I don’t expect us to be in control the whole game.

However I can’t fathom how bad we are to let Norwich having 90% possession for a period of 15 minutes.

A Norwich team who have not won in 6 games.

And we are the home team.
  • Grant and Edwards are on yellows. Both should be replaced. But will NJ revert to back five?

3-5-2 is a must for me this half. We are far too open and they have too much quality to not take one of their chances they’ll get if we stick with 4-3-3
Feel like I’m going mad. Fans spent all week saying they don’t want 352 because it’s too negative. Team finishes the half negatively and suddenly people want the 352 back

And why on EARTH is Edwards starting over Mesik? Unless Mesik is injured, he should be starting every game. One of the few players in this team that should have that right.
Edwards hasn't overly done much wrong this week, apart from getting himself a stupid booking.
Seemed a very harsh booking based on how close he was in the north upper. Was it a deserved yellow?
I think the yellow was for what happened AFTER the  handball in that he waited for the Norwich player to trot over to him to collect the ball and then Edwards picked up the ball and threw it back to where the FK was to be taken.

In the ref's eyes it was delay of game; in my eyes it was a booking for being an idiot.

I would guess he must be exhausted and doesn't want to get injured

    McLean on at half time

As others have said need at least two players subbed at Half time. Personally I would sub 3. Grant/Coventry  for me.
Are you good enough to cover both of them?
At 75 with 2  replaced  knee caps  I would doubt it mate!...... but then again ha ha!

We looked ok until we scored, then fell apart. I think the score 'one goal' philosophy damages us. When we were really going for it Norwich were struggling to cope. When we sat back more, they grew in confidence.

If we go to 3-5-2 we won’t win this game. We need to win.

I can’t believe Grant is still on the pitch. I now have no faith in NJ.

He got lucky that the ref didn't want to decide if it was pen or a FK

Same from the first half. Please go back to Luton Jones
  • Why is Mesik not playing?
  • This left side of our defence is so open.

    Time for changes already
