Just got home and posting without reading.
Up until the last couple of games I've been fairly confident that we would survive this season.
But having gone to Watford last week and going again today I've completely lost any faith that we will stay up.
It matters not how many times Jones shuffles the pack and changes formation this group of players are mainly league one standard.
Coventry is getting worse game after game despite what Leuth says.
Grant offers very little and again is getting worse.
Nathan Jones will probably get the bullet in the coming weeks.
God knows who's going to replace him and get a tune out of this lot.
Our owners better have a plan because otherwise we will be back in league one next season playing in front of about 10k every other week at the valley.

I'll leave it there as I'm soaking wet and about to take my frustration out on a bottle  Jamesons.

    Shown before today’s game!
    Show how poor we are!
Those stats are absolutely mental. A Nathan Jones team is 23rd for sprints, these players are rotten.

As it stands we are 3 points off the last relegation spot

Next 3 games we have Boro away and then both Bolton & Sheff U at home. Those 2 home games are crucial......and both are must win. Anything less & we'll be in the bottom 3

I expect nothing against Boro but we need a win against Bolton and hopefully Chalobah is back by then.
  • I’ve always found Jones to be unlikeable but at least he was doing a good job in league one.

Now he doesn’t know what to do with this team against better teams and managers, so times up for me.

    Thanks and see ya later.
IF (a big if) the owners agreed to spend 2 or 3 million in January- would we use it to pay off NJ or keep him and try and upgrade with loans etc?

I am fearful for this season, but we do have time still, there’s been results today and over the last few weeks that have suprised me in other matches, Pompey beating Millwank today is another.

Let’s just hope NJ and the team get in the right headspace and crack on.

we are desperately crying out for a Doc or Coady now. I feel like a right twat sayn Skipp is a Doc upgrade, what a Wally

A couple of positives. Billy looks a hood signing and Kelman showed he should have been playing before.

After that its hard to single out mistakes as it was just a second rate team being cleaned out by a slightly better one who lost their last five.

The worst is Jones just seems to be flinging average players on atbrandom in the hope something clicks. Next week could be desperate - Boro know where the goal is.
  • I do not think Jones out is the answer.
We are in a mess,  let him get us out of it.
  • We were not good - true. But the Ref was a fucking disgrace. Mbick going into box to run on and score. Their player hauling him back by the shirt and nothing given.
Ref disgraceful to not give that. Knibbs chance and if a Pen couldve been a draw - deserved or not.
100% agree with this. The shirt pulling started outside of the box but continued into it - right in front of the ref. If he didn’t think it was a free kick, it’s definitely a penalty when it continues.

As for the disallowed goal, I reckon the Lino thought Kelman headed it in. Not a single Norwich player complained. Goal should’ve stood I think.

The bloke who is leading us into this mess? Don't get me wrong, players aren't covering themselves in glory but it should be better than this.

If you beat us it's because you've earned it, not cause we roll over and have our belly tickled.

Treble that and you might just get half decent players, in the sumer it would have been double that.

Bet he's wishing he had more captains in the dressing room and on the pitch.

From the Sky highlights - the disallowed goal is disgraceful, the Norwich defender was actually all over Kelman. And Mbick clearly had his shirt pulled. We seem to be out of luck and on the wrong end of shite decisions at the moment which isn’t helping.

Lincoln equalise just before half time & we are back to 5 points off relegation.

At the start of the season who would have thought we would be pleased with Lincoln taking points off Burnley !

Billy too error prone to be a good player.

    That is just making excuses.
  • I like Billy as a defender but his distribution is awful. Overhits it pretty much every time.

    I agree with this 👇

4231 suits our best attacking player and literally no one else in the team.

532 suits almost everyone EXCEPT our best attacking player.

Why does it keep happening though.

The fans have identified it, the manager has identified it, the players have identified.

What is it that is constantly causing it to happen?

If it’s a mentality thing, then that is on the manager and the coaching staff to sort out.
The messages get stale. I think NJ is a good manager but you can't spend years telling the same people the same shit. When they first hear it, it's impactful. Pretty soon, you don't even hear it anymore.
  • No leadership in that team whatsoever, Jones doesn’t make a good captain in my opinion. Also shows how poor the recruitment was in the summer. Nathan Jones just has a bunch of bang average players and can’t find a team to stick to as no one stands out.

That was poor really really poor

NJ is still in credit for me but something has to change

He talks about the basics well go back to the basics and the formation that clearly works for us

Lloyd Jones doesn’t look the same player in this system, Billy bailed him out a few times, Conor will never be more than league one level despite his effort, we just look very weak in midfield whoever we put out and Chalobah shouldn’t have to be the answer as he can’t be relied upon

Will Solly March give us a different option ?  It’s worrying and the club should have sorted out the middle of midfield last year and this year, until that’s solved we are doomed

So many concerns, keeper is giving me the wobbles and I thought he was solid, Edwards just shouldn’t be anywhere near the squad let alone eleven, Lloyd looks slow and ponderous, Grant offers nothing, TC has gone backwards since the start of the season…

    Worried

I've not been Jones Out before - but remember Manning at Norwich last season saying that no one could get his players playing and sacking him wouldn't be the answer?

What do we have to lose at this point? I would have taken 17th at the beginning of the season. It's a shit, tough league and it takes seasons to properly stabilise, but I have seen no evidence that we are able to get out of this with the tactics we are playing.

I’m a Jones fan and an eternal optimist. I try and see the positives and accept there will be negatives.

But that was really poor. I always worry when the manager questions the desire and effort of their team. I worry when he says some players aren’t at the level we need. I worry when the same issues (namely the opposition midfield being able to run through ours at will most games).

I don’t know why, maybe because I sense a little bit of discontent in the squad and some uncertainty with the ownership, but I’m starting Jones may not be here at the end of the season.

I hope I’m wrong as it will mean we are ok and still in this division but I just have a feeling.

I posted the above after the Cardiff game. The way we ended the game today with Jones and Koumetio passing it around the back and Ramsay looking unrushed in retrieving the ball was poor to see.

We were so disjointed and didn’t seem to know who was taking corners and free kicks by the end.

If it was Jones getting them to sit back on 20 mins then I want him gone. Sorry.
Appreciate they were posted as you posted this but the quotes above suggest it was on the players
    Yes, I just saw that.
    It's a relief.
But that was one of the most frustrating matches I've ever watched. We had them on the ropes and we proceeded to slit open our own gloves with a razor blade.

Not defending Jones at all but who is going to come in that could make a difference?

The lineup today was probably the best possible team we could put out to take the game to them.

i think the problem is just the lack of quality we have in our squad, it seems we don’t have 1 championship level midfielder.

We could have Pep in charge but with the players there is to work with…. What would be different?

Watched in a Cyprus bar, one of those 40 different screens and people smoking inside jobs. Five Charlton fans.

Knew it was gonna be a long afternoon when a lone Norwich fan sat by us and asked have we managed to get back to The Valley yet…🤷‍♂️

Season feels like it rests on Chalobah and a player we've not officially signed yet being fit for enough games. Gonna be fun...
  • I thought we were playing Norwich City today, who had lost their last 6 games. Turns out we were playing Brazil
Not really it was Norwich, we just made them look like Brazil.

Alan Brazil would have beaten us today.
