What magazines do you read / subscribe to ?

Do people really still read magazines, what with the internet and glut of free supplements with papers ?

I read:

Mens Health (stop laughing now !)
FCBusiness - magazine on the development, financial side of UK football
The technician - UEFA's coaching periodical magazine.

  • FHM, Runner's World..................and Fiesta Reader's Wives....lol
  • The "which" guide to anoraks and train spotters monthly.
In truth just the back pages of the newshopper and km messenger,
actually i think my first two were less geekish
  • 442 and When Saturday Comes (for the Footie) and the Matchday programme
Uncut (for old blokes who want to kid themselves they are still into with it music)
and some boring work stuff like People Management and The Edge
  • When Saturday Comes
    Q Magazine (Music!)

  • what is when saturday comes like nowadays ?
  • Variable. Some good articles and updates on clubs in crisis. It overdoes the "woe is football" bit sometimes but not as earnest as it was. Better than anything else on the market but still not enough in depth stuff for my liking.
  • [cite] Off_it:[/cite]Taxation, Tax Journal and Razzle!

Do I assume from this you are in the heady world of Tax Consultancy?

    If so where?
  • I like the Razzle pile up when you have 5 girls on top of each other - has anyone ever seen this?

  • In order of decreasing coolness
When Saturday Comes, Empire, Private Eye, SFX, Linux Format, CrossStitcher
  • Unforutnately here in Kuwait magazines are heavily censored, Mens heatlh, GQ and Esquire all end up either having pages torn out or black felt tip scribbled over any pictures of semi naked women.

Normally you end up with half the pages for double the cost!.

When I am back in the UK I tend to stock up on as many as I can to bring back with me, so most of the time its the ones above plus any other that looks interesting.
  • I get 442 and national geographic sent out to me in xinjiang, China

only started when the internet got cut off last July (after the riots)

seriously....an area the size of western europe WITH NO INTERNET ACCESS*

(*ok...so there are some (very few) governemnt approves sites in Chinese available... but they are not worth it... certainly no e-mail or Charlton Life)

PS. am out of the region for a break over chinese new year period, which is why I am able to write this
