Dartford now selling tickets for our pre-season game on July 12th. Unfortunately, I’ll be away watching Oasis… what a shame *cough cough*

Tickets for Dartford game purchased, always nice to have a game a 5 minute walk from home

Have they too put the price up to reflect our new elevated status? 😉😆

A massive gap between the clubs now, considering that 2 summers ago it was L1 vs NLS (3rd vs 6th tier) and now it's 2nd tier vs 7th.

Is a good point. More likely to be a second string team possibly depending on other fixtures announced?

We be interesting to see who we play in our last PSF at the Valley.

Hopefully, someone more "interesting" than Portsmouth.

Or if we have one at all. Might leave it to give the pitch a chance of being good for the whole season

Maybe invite Inter or PSG depending on who wins on Saturday!!!! The worst outcome is that they tell us to do one.

You mean like one of the lower Premier League sides - maybe Manchester United!

I mean surely we still have that special relationship with Inter, maybe we’ll finally sign Robbie Keane too…

He’s just won the Hungarian title as manager of Ferencvaros over the weekend. He now has that and an Israeli title on his managerial cv. Maybe we can invite Ferencvaros for the final game at the valley!

    I see not.  dover won
  • My understanding is Ferencvaros are the Millwall of Hungary, which made it brilliant that when Millwall qualified for Europe by getting to the FA Cup final 20 years ago they drew - Ferencvaros !   My memory tells me that as well losing on the pitch Millwall lost off it too.

In the past I have enjoyed the pre season fixtures against unusual opposition most - New Zealand, Inverness C.T at the Valley with the 1991 tour of Scotland a highlight, Sittingbourne,  Dorchester, Bashley away.  Two pre-season regrets - not going to Valencia  and Hibs away and the Celtic game being behind closed doors at a training camp rather than at Parkhead.

Whatever pre-season comprises this year, in NJ and the management team we trust

Scotland would be nice, but not Hibs. I’ve already seen us play Hibs in a friendly up there.

My cousins went. And so did Front magazine and they tell a different story!

Sadly not. The Darts have a terrible playoff record

It would be great to have Wrexham. You can never get enough of a circus.

I very much doubt it will be a team from our Division.

With 1&2 starting a week earlier,  it has to be a Premier team, or one from abroad, including Scottish teams.

Maybe Dundee, given the tenuous fans link. It will also give us a chance to abuse Fraser and sweeten the taste of us taking Mulligan from them for zilch.

Harrogate away would be nice as part of the Ramsey deal, if it was included on the deal.

As we are now in the Championship, hopefully a country rather than a club, like when we played New Zealand.

    Or a continent.
