Rest in peace @Redmidland . I'm gutted that he didn't manage to get a last game at the Valley as he was hoping, but hopefully seeing us get promoted (even if only remotely) will have been enough. Condolences to Angie, @T_C_E , @DaveStorry and all his family and friends. Oh, and if any of you would like to donate towards his funeral there's a link in the first post on this thread:
I got to know Malc on here as we all did, and treasured his contribution to CL. I also had the great good fortune to meet Malc, sadly just the once. I had a set of golf clubs that I could never get on with and Malc was looking for some. He drove over from Leicester to meet me in bet365's car park where I presented them to him - now sadly we will never have that round of golf, or raise a glass together at The Valley. To say I'm deeply saddened doesn't say the half of it.
Malcolm was a brave man who fought his battles to the end. And more than that, he brought a lot of strength and comfort to us all by sharing his ups and downs with so many of his friends here.

Fighting to the end.
One day, I hope to give you that hug, promised for so long.
You will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing you. x
The most beautiful thing you can leave behind is a smile on the lips of those left behind when they think of you!
Love to all your loved ones.
you put up one hell of a fight and demonstrated courage beyond most people during your journey.
thinking of all family and friends as I’m sure Malcolm will be greatly missed x
RIP @Redmidland
It’s sad to see a regular poster’s name pop up in an obituary thread, even if we don’t personally know the person behind the CL name.
