In his on pitch post game interview Charlie talked about how “effing hard” he’d worked to get fully fit in the last seven weeks.7

Got to say that during half time Kelman was doing practice with the other subs over in front of the Curbs stand and he looked like he had put on 4 stone. We were all hoping he was wearing a v big down jacket under his vest as he looked 'ate all the pies' fat.Weegie Addick said:In his on pitch post game interview Charlie talked about how “effing hard” he’d worked to get fully fit in the last seven weeks.
Fortunately when he came on so it proved and he looked lean and quick.Lovely runs prior to the goal. As mentioned above the goal was beautiful, TC was marked up but having come inside a couple of times and shot, the defenders held off waiting for the shot which left kelman open. When kelman received it nothing looked on until he shifted it quickly with his left opening up the angle for a great finish. Really good goal.2 -
The finish yesterday was what I kept seeing him doing for Orient last year. Let’s hope the floodgates have opened.
The touch, turn and finish were very Mendonca-esque imo.

That's what you pay the big bucks for.
The sort of quality that can buy you a win in a tight game, or in this case in a game where we were struggling to capitalise on our superiority.
Carry on scoring and maybe it'll be "Kelman again ole ole", ringing out from the stands in the absence of Matty4 -
Brilliant touch and finish -
I've got a great feeling about the rest of the season from him.
I also think it'll take the pressure of the other strikers and that in turn will have them chipping in a little more.

absolutely - i've got a really good feeling about how well Kelman is gonna do now - sounds like he was playing with an injury since the start of the season and he's now tip top - i think him and Leaburn paring up could make TC even more dangerous, either from the bench or wing backDanny Addick said:

What is noticeable is that he could take that touch on his left, as the pass was rolled into him from five yards away rather than hoofed/hammered at him from fifty yards with a 90 kg centre back up his arse. It would be lovely to have a creative player (like Donley at Orient last year), that can get close to Kelman and give him some quality service into his feet or down the sides.3

It's the kind of first touch, shot, and goal, that MOTD would be replaying over and over if scored by a premier league striker. Superb finish.crookester said:That touch to make space, followed by the clinical finish was top class. Isn't that two goals in his last 2 games...almost, dare I say it, prolific

I think we have that already in Tyreece, Apter, and Carey. Whenever any of those are on the pitch at same time as Kelman. All of them like to attack the box with ball at feet, rather than crossing, long balls etc.brownbear said:What is noticeable is that he could take that touch on his left, as the pass was rolled into him from five yards away rather than hoofed/hammered at him from fifty yards with a 90 kg centre back up his arse. Rich Cawley on Twitter described it as “Harry Kane like”.Clem_Snide said:The finish yesterday was what I kept seeing him doing for Orient last year. Let’s hope the floodgates have opened.

" I didn’t think it was as bad as it was. It was a 13 centimetre tear in the tendon. It caught me by surprise."

The finish was excellent and really well taken. I do think the Oxford CB let him roll far too easily - the ball travelled a fair distance (in elite level terms) between Kelman's first touch and his shot. Rowett would've been very disappointed in the defending.gringo said:

The exciting thing is that that's there's been two occasions that I can truly remember Kelman getting space in the penalty area and both times he's scored. The trick is going to be figuring out how to get him that space against more accomplished opposition on a regular basis.4
