Kelman had a field day today. Not sure if it was him or their defence was awful, willngive him the benefit of the doubt

Today shows both sides of the debate perfectly - yes he needs a system that supports him and complements his particular skills BUT if he does have that system he could be absolutely lethal at this level.

Justified his fee with today's contribution.

Very good player and will get goals at this level if played right... Please go and find a Yann to play next to him

Was outstanding today and a brilliant goal. Been saying for ages that with a proper pre season under his belt and if he can stay injury free he'll score goals. 7 league goals isn't too shabby for the actual minutes he's had on the pitch. Expecting big things next season.
...and if we play more like we have the last couple of games, feeding him with passes into the channels rather than aimless hoofing in the general direction of the striker's head
100% - proved he can do it at this level if we play to his strengths.

If he can hit the gym in the summer and come back super fit so he can have that first 45 for the full 90 we’ll have some player on our hands. Excellent finish.

Goal of the season aside his general play in the first half especially was much better than we’ve usually seen this season. Hopefully gives him confidence to help him become the player he can be at this level, a good goalscorer, hard worker with a better all round game.

Maybe a bit of both but mostly it has to be his credit honestly. He's definitely put in a real shift today, and showed a lot more all round than he has before. This needs to become his usual standard now and not just a stand out one off showing.

He's done that 3 or 4 times now, and looked unplayable, then we'd have a dip in form, or we'd bench him for Leaburn and Dykes up top and break his momentum.

Needs to be made the clear first choice striker, and tactics and recruitment needs to be built around feeding him the ball as often as possible, and go from there
    Amen to that.

We need to play to get the best out of him.

He has shown he has the quality when there's quality around him.

I really rate him, always been quality whenever I’ve seen him. Like a younger Godden, a striker who can actually score and he’s not as bad in the build up as he is made out to be.

    Done better than Kone anyway…

Would like to see the Kelman with Knibbs / Carey behind him trial again next week
With Oxford down, wonder if we could upgrade one of those two with Jamie Donley

Donley’s permanent option could only be activated if they stayed up too - so he’ll go back to spurs and be available … unless they want him for the Champ themselves!

The real midfielder to nab from Oxford is de Keersmacker though - absolute quality but has been injured for second half of the season (so will fit right in etc etc..).

That would be intriguing, he matched well with Kelman at Orient

Scored some very important goals for us and deserved to start more than he has done.

As it stands he's on the same number of league goals as Kone, I think this one was a good transfer. Excited to see what he can do next year with a better midfield behind him.

His goals have all been pretty decent finishes when he’s got the moments, and on the flip side he hasn’t really missed any, or certainly very few, sitters

but then some games he’s looked like a weakling anonymous schoolboy wandering round lost on the pitch

there’s something there though and I like his attitude. Hope we can play much better football and create MANY more chances for attacking involvement to see whether he’s really the level

Unbelievable strike today, thought he was superb. Looked strong and well up for it.

First time this season he’s proved he can physically give defenders something to think about and can contribute to the all round play rather than just the finishing. He matches this level for next season and we’re going to have some player

He also got that really good assist for Rankin Costello against Coventry where he chose to shoot across the keeper so he could get the rebound.

An intelligent footballer, which we have lacked for a long time, but that’s what you pay the big bucks for.

Best physical display from Charlie today. Want to see more of it.
