Slightly concerned with us going back for Dykes and Godden we want to stick with a 2 up front, and Kelman’s best performance this season has been in a 1 think Kelman likes to have room to operate which he doesn’t get with another striker

Why has he not been banned from here then? if his previous profile has?
His posts are short. And he is usually polite. I have been a stalwart supporter of Leaburn and Campbell but Ronnie's posts do not annoy me. I cannot same the same for every poster.

Kelman shows up really well on this graph, alongside the likes of Liam Millar, Ivan Azon, Patrick Bamford and Haji Wright for “receipt value per progressive pass received”.

    Receipt value: Goals*1.1 + Shots on Target*0.95 + Shots*0.8 + Corner Won*0.3 + Foul Won*0.15 + Retained*0.1 + Lost Possession*0.02 (outcome within two actions after ball is received)

Progressive pass received: completed pass that moves the ball at least 20% closer to the opponent goal and has a gain of at least 5m forward.

I remember when football used to be such a simple game.

Don't think i've ever had a football conversation and said "yes but have you seen his stats for completed passes that moved the ball at least 20% closer to goal and had a gain of at least 5 metres forward, they're unbelievable"

It’s people who talk about XG that boil my piss. I can’t be doing with it.
And yet it’s the folks at Brighton and Brentford who pioneered all this stuff that have become established mid table Premier League sides, possibly even sniffing European this season.

You might not like it but data makes the world go round and football is no different. If you want to remain blissfully unaware of it, you still can.
I wasn't having a dig at you and obviously i'm aware of the increased use of data in football these days, just that the "completed pass that moves the ball at least 20% closer to the opponent goal and has a gain of at least 5m forward" has to be the most niche stat i think i've seen.
