IF the top 2 is decided by the last game and Millwall aren’t in it then it’s not out of the realms of possibilities that Oxford,  backed by a good away support,  could get a result at Millwall especially if Millwall rest a few and are having a breather

I think we will do it but I don’t think it will be tonight and would rather Oxford were playing earlier than us on Saturday to put the pressure on them rather than the other way around

Going to Swansea needing a point will give me huge 19/20 flashbacks though not sure the ticker can cope

I can see Ipswich beating West Brom and QPR who have nothing to play for. I can see us (don’t laugh) grabbing a point. They may lose at Southampton. Millwall will win their last two games. It’s going to be very close and may be down to GD.

Ipswich can afford to lose one of their three remaining games, and that assumes Millwall win both their games - the goal difference is too big for Millwall to close. I was at the Stoke game last night and would expect Hollywood or Southampton would be too strong in the play offs for Millwall - Stoke are atrocious (but they continue to have massive injury issues) and Millwall were not impressive at all.

My prediction is Millwall finish third with Ipswich promoted and then they lose to Hollywood in the semi-final, before Hollywood lose to Southampton in the final.

    We can live in hope!

I’ve quite enjoyed how unimpressive we’ve been this season 😁

I will admit you've had some great performances this season - but last night wasn't one of them.
I thought we played pretty good to be honest and I’m usually our biggest critic. Yeah Stoke were shit, we made some silly mistakes at times, but thought our overall play was decent. I’ve seen us play a lot worse than that this season. Still, 2nd in the league after 44 games. You don’t get there by chance. You get a few false positions in the early stages of the season but not after 44 games.
    You’ll be 3rd tonight!

I wonder if Bromley have had a stroke of luck with the timing of their promotion.
It seems likely that the strength of the Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester teams may continue to deteriorate and they may even have more points deductions coming their way.
As the favourites for promotion are usually the relegated sides, this might mean League 1 is a bit less daunting this year and might give Bromley a better chance of consolidating their position in the division.
I wish we were in Bromley's shoes - playing Leicester & Sheffield Wed next season, where we have Lincoln & Burnley 😉😄

Would be surprised if the WBA deduction was anything more than 3 points. More likely to be 2 and they'll be fine.

    It will be 2 points
Probably won’t happen this season anyway as it’s unlikely to have any impact whatsoever. It all comes down to what Oxford do, if the win their last two games then it’s worth the RFl taking pints away from WBA. If Oxford fail to win at least one game then it’s worth the EFL applying points deduction next season

    .
I wonder why 20 is replaced with dot-dot-dot

I'm not disputing that MF - my observation is just that Millwall last night didn't perform to my eyes as you would expect a team in second after 44 games to perform. No question they deserve to be where they are. It's all relative of course and they were never really in danger albeit against a piss poor Stoke.

Yeah fair enough. I just thought we played well last night. I’ve been at games though and someone will describe it and I think that wasn’t the game I just witnessed. We all have are own perspective though. And of course I was watching with my Millwall goggles on 😆

Are you from up that way then?

Blackburn 3-0 up away at Sheffield Utd at HT...could just be between us and Oxford come full time which would be quite something.

Luckily I still can't see Oxford getting 6 points, but I hate that we never make it easy on ourselves.

Yes - live in Cheshire. In a former life (now retired) part of my remit was as HR Director for Stoke City.
    Woolwich born and bred though!

I get to Stoke games a fair bit and was in the box with Millwall fans last night (brother-in-law and a couple of his mates). They enjoyed it!

Oxford and Hull will be favourites on Saturday so if it goes as expected it’ll go to the final day where anything can happen

As I said before, if Millwall cannot make top two before their game against Oxford then they will save best players for playoffs and have the last laugh against us

Sounds like another classic Boro performance where they couldn't finish their chances.

Yet Oxford showed last night that they struggle in front of goal, just as much as we do

Final games of seasons can be like the FA cup where form goes completely out the window. Theres always some mad results.

If worst case happens on Saturday, can see Oxford taking an early lead and holding on for dear life.

Don't see us doing the same

This morning is the first time all season I've been absolutely terrified that we're actually going down. Just feels like with the injuries last night on top of the complete collapse in form we're now relying on Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall actually turning up against Oxford.

Spot on. It’s very real now, and our reliance on Sheff Wed and Millwall is a very perilous position to be in

I’m actually the opposite. I’ve been expecting it for so long based on what’s been unfolding in front of us - that I’ve woken up calmer about Charlton than I have for ages!

Yup. SheffWed in front of a big crowd will beat them to achieve zero points.

    Millwall will win 3-0.

    We are staying up.

Still a big crowd … for them 🤪

fair enough, but they will only draw
