Quite the opposite. When they are on the pitch we look good because of their constant pressing. When they come off we are forced on to the defensive. Huge problem for NJ to fix.

I think Leaburn just can't really do it, tbh. He's lost his energy. I don't think he should be getting the minutes he is at the moment
    FFS. Not you too…🤣

First half very good, most of the second half dreadful. Still, we got their ‘keeper sent off. However, how did the ref not see the foul on the edge of the box minutes earlier and how did he not stop play straight away after their ‘keeper took out our player?

2nd half was disappointing we really went off the boil second half

Ground out a win that was tougher than it should have been. Carey has got to be one of the best signings we have made in recent history, costing a few mill to sign a player doing what he is doing in the championship
  • When we can criticise Kelman for being a total dud?
You're just outing yourself as not watching the games tbh.

  • That Sheffield Wednesday defence is the worse we’re going to play all the season the fact Kelman, Leaburn have struggled to make an impact yet again is concerning
Leaburn came on and won just about every header, but you crack on.

The stand out for me is finishing goal scoring opportunities. We've come away with the same points Coventry did..... but could've also been 1 or 0 points. How long can we keep starting a striking partnership without a goal between them?

Sorry. Rushed post as busy at home.

Leaburn won his headers, but his press just isn't what a Jones team needs. It cost us a win against Millwall and it was costing us here

for context, a year ago we drew 1-1 with 10 man Stockport. Ramani Edmonds-Green with our goal…..
I think you have put your finger on the cause of our goal drought. Bring back Ramani Edmonds-Green in the winter window!
  • Macca does what it says on the tin but drags us deep, leaving gaps. Rather Bell in defence and Apter/JRC/Fernandez at LCB.

Time to pair Kelman and Tanto. TC vs tired legs.

Good win, but bringing on Leaburn and Olaofe at the same time had a negative impact on us. The last 10 minutes was great entertainment because of the refs incompetence, it helped kick the atmosphere up a few notches.

But I do believe that Kelman does will do well when he has a shot on target.

Has that happened in his fantastic displays as our main striker?

Or every touch is lauded as progress?

Very frustrating watching Leaburn sometimes, he looks like he’s running in treacle half the time.

dont think he puts himself about enough for someone of his size, did win a lot of headers when he came on though….just need Kelman getting onto those flick on’s….but he’s never on the pitch by then

A win sometimes is the important thing I called this game tricky and no where near as easy as people were saying .. I have to praise Wednesday for their spirit and teamwork they really gave us some nervous moments .. The difference second half was Bannon he controlled the game , he was behind every move forward ,first half he played deep but second they pushed him further up the pitch he was best player on the park second half … NJ please stop making subs , yes Campbell was correct but Kelman he was running them ragged once he went off their defence suddenly had more time to play from the back .. a mistake from NJ that he not learning from at the moment … but 3 points is 3 points and we move on to Ipswich now with the pressure off …

I don’t think he completed a single pass until the second half. Toilet player, toilet person. Hope he doesn’t get paid.

Looks good! No one would have had this after 10 games. Higher than the big spenders of Wrexham and Birmingham for starters.

Sounds like a struggle but we must expect a tough ride in every game we play .. 3 points it is and another unlikely scorer .. Jones needs to sort out our 'strikers' inability to score before it becomes a REAL REAL major issue (If it isn't already)
Tough game on Tuesday, but Ipswich didn't look too impressive v 'Boro on Friday, still they're a difficult proposition at Portman Road .. all we can do is to keep on keeping on

We were comfortable until the subs in the second half — then all of a sudden we sat back and let Wendy’s come at us. Aside from the goal there weren’t too many scary moments, and by around the 80th minute we’d managed to get back into it. Didn’t make for an easy watch though!

Great crowd today as well — loads of tourists about in the Curbs stand, mostly Germans by the looks of it, probably over for the NFL game.

V good first half - in control - awful second and mostly outplayed. But a win and just about deserved. How the ref played on after Tanto was floored is beyond me. Fair play to the Sheffield Wednesday supporters - their club in chaos and they turned out in great numbers and supported their team with force.

Lovely bit of composure from Carey for his goal. It came back to him in a good area but he still needed some presence of mind to direct it up over the keeper, could easily have just panicked and hit it into him

    Why?

We can all take the virtue signalling when we win.

Had we had lost 0-1 you would all agree.

Honestly players can do fuck all for 50 games as long as your face fits or the price tag is big enough it's okay.

Wake the fuck up happy clappers if the midfield and defence hadn't been getting out of the shit Kelman would of slaughtered.
Just stop trying to troll now... You're making yourself look a bit of a tit

We were so bad in the second half that they ended up with 60% possession and as many shots on and off target as us.
Their second half improvement was compounded by our first two subs.

    Because we won Kelman.

God knows how many games no goals.

Seriously  has he even had a shot terget si ce early August.

    I'm guessing no.

In my opinion the tits are people who straight up don't understand what a striker is supposed to do.

HAVE SHOTS ON TARGET AND SCORE GIALS.
