    Sad we don’t get to see Micah in on our first team but if it’s at least 5 million with hefty add ons you really can’t complain.

    Why not? Part of becoming an established Championship club is selling at the right time - for a young English striker that's when you get bids of £10m+.

    Brentford got around £12m for Konsa, a centre back, and that was years ago.

    It won't be. He is a punt for them and we cannot compete n wages, which is where their money will go.

    It's a tricky one because he could turn out to be worth a fortune, but equally he could be Mason Burstow.

    Well we did last season, dare I say he wasn’t overly impressive. If the money is good I think it’s a good deal. Don’t think the owners will have they’re pants pulled down.

    In regards to Mbick, unless we’re a top club it’s always going to be hard to keep hold of talent. Hopefully it’s a huge fee and sell on % that will see us get a few through the door

    Slightly disappointed on not getting field, sort of player we need to bring in to begin forming a championship ready squad be that as a stater or on the bench. Hopefully we get this lad from Liverpool in otherwise we’ve mucked it up by not getting another midfielder

    Agree.  There’s potential there but if we stay up this year, I’d much rather have the funds versus potential to be reinvested across the team.  

    Even if Mbick turns out to be a cut above, one player doesn’t keep you up/push you on in the league

    Mbick is an odd one, as it's not like with other January sales (e.g. Burstow) where they were part of the first team before the window. Mbick is out on loan anyway, so in terms of this season, is in neither the plans of Brighton or us.

    Also - would make sense to get first dibs on any loans Brighton have lined up - or deals off? We could have done that with Tom Watson for example?

    Can’t be mad at Mbick if it goes through for good money. 

    Another massive win for the academy and a lot for us for a player yet to do anything above League 2

    That's from a Colchester account, he'd be returning to Colchester not us

    The one thing I really don't want them to do is let us have him on loan next season. If he goes, let him stay gone imo.
