    I think in Apter's case that was always going to be the...case given we wanted to convert him to a high and wide wingback. He's only 22, never played consistently at this level, and is what, a year removed from League Two? So I think that much sits okay with me. And as Jones has said, and I think genuinely, he's been a victim of our left sided problems where we can't play a high and wide RWB when TC is our LWB. Or Hernandez, etc.

    With Tanto, who is 26 and making the step up from a L1 playoff team, I think it feels a little more ropey. That being said, he still looks quite raw in his touch and he has a lot of raw tools, pace, strength, pressing, but he lacks some our the nuance and nous for that center forward role. I do think he's been a little hard done by in that he hasn't had much of a chance to play off a big man from the start very often, and he's looked his best coming on with Miles at the 60 minute mark. But his touch alone still needs work, it's very erratic. 

    That being said, Cawley said that pretty much every L1 team was interested in Tanto so there must be something there that we haven't seen at Championship level.

    Look, forget what he said at the time because clearly they haven’t stepped up in the way we hoped. It happens - fergie signed Djemba-Djemba! 

    We are now trying to polish this turd we are by bringing in players that they think might be able to affect us now and help us be the team we urgently need to be in the next 18 games.

    Ramsay might be struggling at the moment,  but he's still a good player ( at our level of budget), ditto Burke. And we have Gough and Mitchell who can cover right centre back. Or Clarke if we play Fevrier at right wingback 
    Unless Ramsay is off?

    Exactly. They were signed for this team, for this season. Anything else is nonsense.

    Yeah boils my piss when people ask to

    Feels like a proper sort of Phil Chapple signing, given he's been working abroad, and is just his second window with us, is very left field from the Recruitment team if not.

    It’s also from the 28th and was shared yesterday (I think) so nothing has changed

    - so with our luck he will get himself suspended and be unavailable 🙂

    I’ve just watched his YouTube video, not to be amazed but to get a sense of what he’s about. My first impression is that he might bring the physicality we’ve been missing in midfield. Just a punt, but we’ll see.

    So we will have the following defenders in our squad: Ramsey, Clarke, Macca, Lloyd, Coady, Collins, Fevrier, Chambers, Gough, Burke, Bell, Lapa……I am sure we can get some clean sheets with that lot to pick from.

    I am back on the midfield…..Conor, Docherty Carey, Fullah, Anderson, Berry, JRC

    Up front - Dykes, Miles, Godden, TC

    Me and one or two others got somewhat excited about Lucas Mauragis, about 150 pages back, Aussie u23 at Central Coast Mariners in the A-league. I try to keep track for any news about him. So far he hasn't made a move though was linked to Bolton and Port Vale. But this has just come up, where he is presented as a case study for an injury and recovery agency.

    I wasn't sure where to post this as it's not a specific rumour but I'm still hopeful he'll sign for us or turn up in the EFL, and not at a rival.

    I still think that Nathan Jones was right royally pissed off certain performances at Millwall, Ramsay and Burke may have been part of that, but the Ramsay and Lloyd Jones rumour seemed to have a lot of credence from people on here. Has Nathan Jones decided that certain players will not improve and it may be a good idea to move them on, is that what is meant by a progressive window ?

    I've actually got a Harambe Stars supporting mate 😂

    I trade kenya bonds and asked a few local clients who are into football what they thought of him. One who is a bit of a football nut said he is a good youngster breaking through, hasn't seen lots of him but he is rated, could definitely be a good one for the future but unsure if he is ready for the English leagues yet. The other 3 had never heard of him, although they're probably bigger united/arsenal fans than they are kenya fans
