Amen to all of that, Rodders.RodneyCharltonTrotta said:Terrible performance and shocking way to throw away a point.
However we are literally only halfway through the season. Not sure what everyone was expecting from this squad in a first season back in this ultra competitive league.
Really hope that Jones and the players have more bollocks and belief than some of our fans who have seemingly thrown up the white flag and accepted relegation after 23 games and 5 points off the bottom three with a game in hand.
Long way to go and whilst we need to be very active in the transfer window we can turn this bad patch around.
Portsmouth were awful, sheffield wednesday gone and there's other sides that will likely have a poor run.
We can pick up with a few results as not like we're getting smashed week in week out. Need to stay behind the players and manager. Long way to go and lots of points still there for the taking.
Grim to see people shitting themselves and crying that we're going down already. Have some back bone for Christ's sake.
People crying and wetting their knickers is just embarrassing. I guess it's the way things are these days.15 -
Gutting. But we've done that plenty of times to other teams over the past year, so it was always going to happen to us at some stage.
Portsmouth didn't look better than us, neither did Oxford.
We looked much improved from the Norwich non performance.
Bell and Burke looked great. Why JRC hasn't been playing I have no idea. Excellent passing and driving forward/ shooting, just what we've been lacking.
We are getting our better players back, and the window is about to open.
We need to pick ourselves up and go again.
As down as we all are at the moment, I think we'll beat Portsmouth at home for Norman, and I think we'll be OK.10 -
Is correct so to turn on the players and NJ is disappointing but I’m not there tonight so those who r can say what they want, that’s fair enough - those sitting at home who hardly go to a home game, let alone an away game can also have a view but can shove it up their arse, coz your part of the problem.Greenie said:We’ve been punching above our weight all season and we’ve been found out. Most of our players are just not good enough, L1 at best ! They give 100% but if the board are honest with themselves and want success then we need 5/6 Championship level players in the Jan window to give us a fighting chance to stay up.3 -
There's a lot to be said about how we don't play to our attackers strengths.
We put the through ball to Leaburn, but not to Kelman. Meanwhile, we put the ball in the air to Kelman and TC.
With JRC and Berry, in the first half we had the ball on the floor and looked the better side. Second half we reverted to form, hoofing it up field.3 -
Will Roussillon ever be fit/good enough to play for us?1

NJ needs to go back to the drawing board.
It's almost like the only gameplan is a war of attrition.
It's Third Division mental inferiority trying to batter the Championship.
It's loose and shapeless going forward, we can't retain possession and honestly have little guile or positive play.
We've even got virtually our only regular creative player playing far too deep chasing shadows.
Come on NJ. It's not working.
Sort it out.9 -
The early season feel good & momentum has well and truly gone! We are now looking like the team I thought we would be, struggling!
we need to be very clever in this window and add some quality, we are going into the second half or the season in relegation form and no spark.Very worried1 -
Doubt it, suspect he and Hernandez will be released at the end of their short term dealSheedyCAFC said:Will Roussillon ever be fit/good enough to play for us?Suspect Onel will stick around the training ground, and be given an extended deal till the summer depending on transfer activity.1 -
Pompey are shit and them and Oxford are key for us
we should really have been ahead before they scored but we have zero threat
that late chance where Carey slid tc in and he shot wide is just a prime example of how painfully lacking in quality we are, we rarely even create those chances and when we do they’re executed like i would ie an amateur footballer we have nobody to slam them in the goal with conviction and when you’re getting 3 chances every 10 games that’s a problem
jrc was our biggest threat which says a lot but why hasn’t he been involved a bit more
why the fuck the changes so late
why the fuck only 5 mins added
why the fuck the players let a dejected Pompey score from kick off
Why why why

Apter is another one who I think we have mis managed.13 -
Well it was announced just before christmas that the owners were looking for a new invester to bring in 20 million pound but doubt that will be spent on players.welling1986 said:Owners need to dig into their pockets. We have a League One team and it’s beginning to show1 -
At least when we got relegated from the a Championship last time we tried to play some football. Nearly every game we play is turgid and now we are losing to teams like Norwich and Portsmouth and it’s not good enough . You can’t blame injuries anymore. It’s this awful hoofball that’s going to kill us .8

So they were, my bad... I got the Goal Difference maths wrongCafcSteve said:

Think we can add Blackburn to the mix imoSillybilly said:Saw the second half but not the first. Entertaining in a two bald men fighting over a comb sort of way. Two dreadful goals to concede. At least one of the two teams on view tonight will go down if not both. Only good thing is Norwich and Oxford both lost too. We are in a four team league with Pompey, Norwich and Oxford. Two of those four will go down. All four are rubbish. Manager apparently picking names out of a hat now doesn’t bode well either.2 -
Don’t trust Kaminski….Mannion better keeper IMO….6

Being an optimist, I thought I'd compile a list of positives:
👉 We nearly held out for 70 minutes
👉 We showed the spirit to get back into it
👉 We're still above Portsmouth and outside the relegation zone
👉 Coventry next, three points for the taking
👉 I haven't got a VPN so I saved a tenner on the stream
👉 Err, that's it8 -

It’s the hooofball but also the deliberate tactic to give up possession as our primary tactic. It’s never going to work.Bedsaddick said:At least when we got relegated from the a Championship last time we tried to play some football. Fortunately the points we managed to get at the start of the season means we still have a gap but we really need NJ to sort this out. I think he will and we will be fine but I really hope he isn’t too stubborn to try a different plan.5

👉 Err, that's itBurke and Bell lasted a long longer into the game than I suspected, with Bell managing the full matchWhether that impacts their involvement ahead of Coventry and / or Blackburn remains to be seen but that for me is the biggest positive from the game, as we can hopefully start to have a more stable defence.4 -
Blackburn after that on Sunday is absolutely enormous. Think they're in the relegation mini League for sure too.Chippycafc said:

The concern is, it needs a drastic change. Bad result, it's pretty clear we need better options in the final third. Keep the faith though long way to go yet and you don't get relegated in December6
