This Gilly pile on is a bit much. He was good at the start of the year but now is being asked to do hit parts and replace a very good defender.

    Is he the solution? No

is he as bad as some are saying. No.

    His confidence is shot
His lack of pace gets him into trouble.

Neither good enough of fast enough for this league

What has Berry done to deserve starting three games in a row? Knibbs is second top scorer and hasn't been given that opportunity.

Disgraceful result after being 2 up, disgraceful.

They were so bad, even their fans were singing "how s**t must yous be, we're drawing 2-2"

Shame our team didn't seem to realise like most of our fans do. Jokers.
Hold on - a “must win” and a “six pointer” are different things. Today, Pompey and Norwich were six pointers but they weren’t must wins.

Having been critical of NJ for starting Berry, who was predictably crap, I must say Carey and Knibbs were no better. Why not try Fullah in that position, he is tough and skilful
That's almost certainly why Berry got the nod Southbank. I think that people declaring this as a must win are a little wide of the mark, it was a must not lose, and that being the case Nathan Jones went with who he could trust.

Back in work tomorrow after two weeks off. At least I can't watch Charlton games on random days of the week anymore.

Problem with us waiting for reinforcements to sort us out is that all of the sides around us will be doing the same (eg Jamie donley)

Sorry but NJ has to go. His decision making in both formation and selection is way off thr mark.

Keeps playing ex Luton players who are not up to it.
Plays consistently players out of position. Plus.

Burke...history of injuries but not convinced either.
When he gets injured today replaces him with pulling bell accross on the right.

Campbell...keeps him at left wing back and he can't defend. When Burke went off why not bring on Gough and leave Bell where it's more natural.

Bree...absolutely useless footballer who no longer can take a dead ball kick. Yes he was involved with a good cross for the 1st goal but full of silly flicks. Cannot defend and making suspect also.

Carey..cannot mark full stop let there man run pass for the 2nd goal.

Kelman..great that he scored 2 goals but gave little of no support to the team up front.

Berry....why?.. no control, doesn't mark/track and goes missing.

Coventry...passing and holding onto the ball is poor.

I can hear NJ already spouting his nonsense.

He needs to go and whilst he should have all the credit for what was achieved last season he has run out of ideas.

    Probably time for a nap.

That one is totally on Nathan Jones.  He is well in credit, but playing Amari'i Bell and TC on the left is fucking braindead. You either bring on Conor Gough or go 4 at the back... That was so obvious to everyone. TC shouldn't be playing LWB anyway but to have him being covered by Macaulay Gillesphey, who is a liability at the best of times, is a joke.

On the plus side Miles looked quality and Kelman had another good game. We desperately need to sign a lwb, cb cover, a box to box midfielder with a bit of creativity and another option as a striker
Bell and TC were fine, it was Gillesphey and TC that fell apart. Or to be more accurate Gillesphey.
Bell and TC were not fine, Bell was fine.
TC cannot play at LWB. He lets his opposing player get goalside of him time and time again.

If you don't have the players to play wing-backs then change the system.

Well I'd have taken that before kick off, but to go from 2-0 up to drawing 2-2 is deeply frustrating.

Seem to have lost the same fight and grit we have had under Jones, and doesn't help that he himself is making some questionable decisions now. Hopefully January sees him take some advice from others and we make use of the loan market.

I still think we'll be fine but that'll be due to how poor those below us are.
Bit selective on the stats there Croydon, that only applies to the away games. We've played:
    Blackburn twice, got 4 points,
    Portsmouth once, 0 points,
    Norwich once, 0 points
    Oxford once, 3 points
    Sheff Wed once, 3 points
That's 1.66 points per game, and we've won all of the home games out of those. It could be better, but it's not wrist-slashingly awful.

Travelling fans have every right to be annoyed by that. There are probably only 3 people more frustrated in Leaburn, Kelman and Nathan Jones.

Regardless of what you expected coming into the match throwing away a 2 goal lead is poor. To let the same player ghost into the box for both goals is even poorer. To not react and try to attack is even worse. Those things are all on the players in my opinion. Criticism does have to go to NJ for not rotating in this period. The played who started were shattered and those who came on didn’t look match sharp

Don't normally let results affect me but really pissed off with that. 99% of fans could tell you that Gillesphey and Campbell is suicide yet that's what Jones goes for. Just bring on Gough. If it has to be Gillesphey then play him centre and move Jones. Bell just cannot be moved.
I don't want Jones out but he's fucking things up more often than not of late.

Imagine being in the trenches with someone like you.

Things are bad at the moment - the Norwich and Pompey results were awful, throwing it away at 2-0 up today was just as bad. But calling for the managers head is mental.
It’s mental isn’t it. We’re in a poor run but if you’d have asked at the start of the season 95% would have been happy with where we are now.

For some though it’s time to throw away everything he’s built to get us here, and that started the year so strong.

    Short termism at its finest

And Macca wasn’t good enough in League One, let alone a Championship side.
Wouldn't have gone up without him. What I think the issue was today was partly tiredness and partly we decided to keep them out at 2 nil. This tactic would work fine at the start of the season but we are not that team at the moment. I also thought they couldn't handle Leaburn so why we were not just playing the ball to him and playing off that was beyond me. Also, Berry was a culprit, but as Miles was winning everything be ready for the F*ing knockdown!!!! And one last also, can the coaches not work on Campbell's football brain. It doesn't matter what you do but don't let that cross come in for the first.

Very disappointing after being 2 up. We should really have gained an extra 5 points over the last 3 games which could have seen us 10 points ahead of Norwich in 22nd, with a game in hand.

Couldn’t get a ticket for the game as they took them off sale ridiculously early (great idea in hindsight). That and Leaburn’s performance are the only positives today for me.

Not the time or place to have a debate on this - although I'm sure we will as the week goes on! - but if I'd paid £38 for a ticket to watch this and saw our reserve team run out I'd be mightily pissed off.

A big disappointment after going 2-0 up but we were absolute toilet in the second half - Norwich revisited - and grateful for a point, as we were really hanging on there in the end. To lose this afternoon to a third relegation rival in 10 days (especially another injury weakened one) would have been a total disaster.

Our inability to pass and move means we can’t get any semblance of control of the game in midfield. Coupled with a very shaky left side of the defence once Gillesphey came on and Bell shifted across, we felt vulnerable throughout that second half.

Notwithstanding all that, there are always a few positives:

    - we didn’t lose (despite our best efforts) and it’s another point towards safety;
    - a fine performance from Miles Leaburn at both ends of the pitch;
    - a couple of goals for Charlie Kelman, which will help his confidence;
    - Bell and Jones were, as usual, very good at the back.

A missed opportunity to move into lower mid-table but it could have been worse.

Attention now turns to the transfer window and hopefully we’ll get a couple of reinforcements in before the next league games against Sheffield United and Derby in a couple of weeks time.

Thought Bell, Leaburn, Jones & Kelman were good, Gillespie, Carey, Doc & Campbell were awful and the remainder ok against a poor Blackburn team. Couldn’t keep the ball second half mainly due to crap hopeful balls pumped forward which kept us under pressure. Gillespie the most guilty of this and he went to sleep after half clearing in the lead up to their 2nd. Didn’t help we only had 10 on the pitch at time either

Hardly any games are 'must wins', not in league football. At least, you never know that they were must win games until it's too late to go back and win them 😉.

And some people want us to rest these precious first team players next week.

What score are we hoping for in those circumstances I wonder? 😉😆

Serioudly it’s a point towards the total. We did ok relative to some matches of late. It will have to do

Rest the three players that are crucial if you must (Jones, Bell and Coventry) but compete otherwise to build confidence. A heavy defeat would not help.

We definitely need to start picking up a win here and there.
