Tbh a big hammering might finally force them to get rid of those two arrogant plebs key and mccullum but very doubtful.
They'll have a meeting, some sort of inquiry where lessons will be learned and they will be back where they are with their feet up on the balcony.

A few million reasons Mccullum won’t go but no excuse to not get rid of Key

I fail to believe that Bashir is the BEST spinner we have. If he is, then God help us !
Rew kept wicket in the last game.
The stupidity of the selectors at times leave me speechless

The highest first-wicket partnership against England in Test history was the 338 made by South Africa openers Graeme Smith and Herschelle Gibbs in July 2003 at Edgbaston. NZ need another 26 to beat that.

Bashir is the sort of spinner you should only pick on a complete turner in India, as on any surface not offering much assistance, he's way too inconsistent. Hence he wasn't played in the Ashes, and today has gone for 97 runs.

Which makes no sense why we didn't go with the leggy atleast he would have been more threatening and can bat

Since they put test cricket behind a pay wall (about 20 years ago) I have rarely seen our players live. Seen them when I have had the privilege to go to the matches or just via a highlights programme but rarely live on TV. So important to have TMS. Similar to Kent but there is their quite awful stream they put out on YouTube.

Late wicket. The great spinner Bashir gets congratulated for some earlier fielding.. Atkinson with Ravindra wicket. Smith with the catch. 361/3

The England management, in picking him for the duration of the two years leading up to the Ashes, were "pot committed" to selecting him for that tour. The realisation that he wasn't ready because he'd been playing next to zero cricket anywhere hit them and they were forced to leave him out of the actual team. He's centrally contracted, been their so called "number one" and having not bowled him for a year, they had to now play him in order to justify that contract and assertion.
Or you could just hold your hands up & admit you got it wrong.

Yes, it was ok for No.5 to come out to face the final 6 balls.....but when he's out first ball it's too late for the No 6 to come out face the final 5 balls.

Just really doesn't make any sense.
