    Final wicket to Milnes

Given Northants were 205-3 off 40, they will be extremely disappointed to finish on 253-9 (48.1). This game is in our hands now.

If anyone had asked me about Ekansh three years ago, I would have said that he is a classy top order batter and not even referred to him as an all-rounder, such were the limitations of his bowling. With Kent's guidance he has bulked up and now has that ability to bowl a heavy ball. Once he starts converting those 30s and 40s into hundreds, we will have one hell of a cricketer.
A serious talent, considering he's only 20 and still at university.
And only 20 last week at that.

I think our chase might be defined by the 10 over power play. It was pretty obvious that once the ball got soft, it was much harder to score with several deliveries struggling to bounce. I think 75-0 would be handy!

Tried to update with about 8 overs of the N’hants innings to go and my phone overheated. Anyway, that was excellent bowling and fielding at the death. Ekansh, Stewart get full credit for 3 wickets each, but I thought Parkinson was terrific too.

And now Ben Dawkins has been bowled by Procter. 22/1. Come on Kent.

Northeast caught and bowled for 10 (15). Not quite 75-0!

If you want to see some runs then The Hundred really isn't the place to see them.

In the men's competition the highest total has been 144 and in the women's it's 126. However, yesterday a side batting first managed just 80 and today a team has scored the grand total of 64. Of that, Ellyse Perry made 39 with the other ten batters managing just 18 runs between them.

Hope the franchises go bankrupt. Those four overseas per team don't come cheap!

Terrifying side they've put out against a bits and bobs Sussex side with 2 debutants and 2.5 recognised batters

Benjamin has been remarkably circumspect with 17* off 36 balls. No need to panic but probably needs to step it up and be there at the end because otherwise, going at that rate, will put all the pressure on Finch and those still to come.

No sooner had I typed that comment than Benjamin is dropped by Proctor off a sitter

And another. An offside 6 to the retirement flats.
